Does winnings SOTM increase the size of ones ePenis?

That's the problem, people don't understand that, :facepalm
I think the number of max stories should be reduced from 2 to 1, to save both stories from being destructed.
And if a member wants to start a new story, his earlier story should be closed.

I've just been reading the past few pages, really sums up what I've been thinking. But one thing I might add is that with all these things happening, writing has been neglected for graphics. Looking back at the Hall of Fame, MWaugh's story would most likely have received hardly any comments, because although he was writing was good he didn't have many graphics. I often find that when I post an update with few graphics or photos I get fewer comments.
I just feel that for many readers, they feel it is better to have a story with many striking graphics than an interesting storyline and writing. And as a writer, I find that writing draws more interesting comments. It's nice to have a comment like:

"Nice scorecard mate, kiu"

but really it is writing that provokes interesting comments like:

"New Zealand really needs to get Tendulkar out here- hopefully the current combination of Ryder and Vettori can get rid of him, but I reckon Bond might need to come back."

I write my stories to be as realistic as possible and give the feel of a real match, and these comments about the game keep the real feeling flowing. Of course it is good to comment to the writer personally but when I look back through the classic stories like Suren's India one, Gamerkid's England one and a couple of Shantanu_Rooney's ones, I just feel the comments are of better quality than sometimes they are now. However there are still some readers who do write good comments, in my opinion.

Just throwing something else out there...

I totally agree. To begin with in my England story I would get comments no matter what kind of presentation I used. I continued with my article style layout until my comments started to drop and I felt I needed to make a change and involve more graphics. As a result it's caused my story to go slower than ever and still not receive that many comments.

Completely agree with justcricket and treva.
Moreover I think no. of Mods here must be increased to 4-5 like in Graphics forum.Get somebody who visits mostly in this forum (for eg. bcvstheworld or treva)

True mate. I really feel that your story is one of the best one's currently going on. You put your best effort to make it better but still you don't get comments and stories which don't have even "good presentation and writing" get much more comments. There are few stories currently going on in which the writer just posts scorecards and write a bit and say that they are putting lot of effort in their story and their story should be nominated in "SOTM". Lets take example of my Delhi story,I was not at all putting my best efforts into it when i started it. I was just posting few pics and writing a bit. But once i posted the matches i was not getting comments because i was just posting pics of players which are available on net and then i came up with the idea that changing the kit of the player with few adobe photoshop skills can certainly make presentation better and that's what i did. After that i am getting comments and that's what i would recommend to the writers here don't just post scorecards use your brain and make presentation better. You can have a look at User2010's story,Treva's story,Highlanders and Surendar's. Have a look at this thread it contains some wonderful stories have a look at them and i am sure you'll be able to make your story presentation better. http://www.planetcricket.org/forums...trategies-online-leagues/hall-fame-26571.html :)

The Hall of fame hasn't been updated from September 2009.

Unfortunately that won't happen again due to an incident that got my 'fired' last year. It isn't really a difficult job if someone is fairly active, they've just got to decide what rules are going to be put in place, if any.

I have voted 'others' in the poll. I'd specify my reason here. The improvement needed is to stop the SOTM contests really for the time being. Then we'll find who writes stories with what purpose. As it is, the stories which get nominated face the hatred of some members if their writers speak the truth regarding some stories on this forum.

Suren brought up the prizes as an issue in the staff forum, as there seems to be no harm in getting everyone's opinion, this was my suggestion for things:

Make SOTM 250k imo. Perhaps have a points system for it, each vote for a particular story gets added up, so someone who stays with a story would cumulate points over multiple months and perhaps every 6 months award a major prize. This would be better than some flat out rules, and keeps some member participation.

Perhaps also award bonus points in that to members who actively comment on other member's stories.

And I've updated the hall of fame. The things I do for this forum :p.

This will do nothing but increase spam as some of the members already post.

Also, I feel voting system was good until some really 'awesome' members have come to this forum.
