strokes on the ps2 ???

sometimes when the ball is just under a full length i go to play a shot on the front foot,but it plays a back foot shop even though im pressin X and using a direction
anyone else have the same problems

On the PS2 I think if it's set to easy then the computer picks the front or backshot automaticaly.
