Stumping Help

Basically, when the AI brings on a spinner, I'm doomed. If I miss a ball I get stumped. It goes to review, batsman is in but it says I'm out. It's so broken and ruining my time with the game. Am I the only person suffering from stumpitis?

Edit:Should also state that this is happening to me even on blocking shots. So, it's not like I'm running down the wicket to slog. Also, the review camera always gives me out when my foot is clearly on the line of the crease.

Do the following... when you take stance against the spinners push the left d-pad back, i.e. take a step back in the crease so you won't go outside the crease once you miss a delivery. I haven't faced this issue on PS4 post the latest patch (1.06) so it could very well be that your platform doesn't have the same version of the patch.

And one more thing... playing aggressive shots (when you press L2) leads to a much higher chance of your batsman ending up outside the crease by dragging his feet. So be careful about playing aggressive shots.

Thanks for the advice. This is even happening to me when I'm just blocking, though. Problem seems to be that the review camera always gives me out when the batsman's foot is clearly on the line of the crease.

the line belongs to the umpire - you have to be behind it: on the line is out. same as with no-balls, landing on the line is still over.

i haven't properly played 1.06 but the really annoying thing was in 1.03 going back on the d-pad worked, then in 1.04/1.05 they "fixed" it, and suddenly back on the d-pad didn't work anymore and you'd still be stumped.

The current patch on PS4 seems to be working but yeah it would be better that the default batting stance/position doesn't lead to the batsman dragging his feet outside the crease.

Weird. I've been trying this back on the dpad thing but nothing happens. I'm playing with standard controls. I can move left and right in the crease with RS but not backwards or forwards. Also, there's nothing in the controls section that mentions move backwards, at least, nothing I can see...

Classic control let you move forward or backward in crease

Thanks. I figured it out on standard controls. It's not listed in the controls menu but you can step back in the crease using RS as well as side to side.
