STWF Destruction- 3rd September

Jim Cornette is in his office and is surrounded by people.

James Storm: America's Most Wanted deserve a tag shot seeing as we're the best team on this brand!

Shelton Benjamin: Whatever, Storm. We all know The World's Greatest Tag Team is the best.

Everyone in Cornette's office starts shouting and Cornette stands up, stopping the arguments instantly.

Cornette: Well, if everyone would be quiet, I have a solution. Tonight. It is gonna be: London and Kendrick vs World's Greatest Tag Team vs America's Most Wanted vs Serotonin in a ladder match for the tag titles!

The office is filled with anxious faces from all the competitors as the cameras go back to the arena, where the crowd loved the announcement and the sound of that match-up.

Mr. Kennedy vs BJ Whitmer

The bell rings and the two competitors circle each other before locking in the centre of the ring. Kennedy charges BJ Whitmer into a corner. He pushes Whitmer up against the turnbuckle. Whitmer fights out, and the lock is still holding as they move to the centre of the ring again. Kennedy breaks it with a rake to the eye, and capitalizes with a bicycle kick to Whitmer's face. Whitmer falls to the mat and Kennedy climbs the turnbuckle. Whitmer quickly gets to his feet as Kennedy has just mounted and charges to the corner, pushing Kennedy's feet. Kennedy slips and lands, legs either side of the turnbuckle, grimacing in pain.

Whitmer mounts the turnbuckle, feet resting on the middle. He puts his arm around Kennedy's head, and prepares for a Superplex. However, Kennedy pushes him off the turnbuckle. Whitmer lands on his feet and steadies himself as Kennedy leaps off the top rope. Whitmer then reacts on instinct and jumps up to meet. Whitmer comes out on top and delivers a mid-air clothesline to Kennedy, who falls onto the mat. Whitmer makes the cover.

1...2...

Kennedy puts his foot on the bottom rope and the referee sees it just in time to stop the 3 count. Kennedy is still pretty faint, so Whitmer drags him into the centre of the ring, and to his feet. Whitmer whips Kennedy into the ropes, but isn't quick enough when Kennedy comes back, as Kennedy grabs Whitmer's arm and spins around him to face his back. He then performs a swinging side slam, sending Whitmer crashing to the mat. Kennedy drags Whitmer over to the corner and picks him up. He lays his body horizontally across his shoulders and climbs to the middle rope. He signals to the crowd and executes the Green Bay Plunge. Whitmer's shoulders are down on the mat and Kennedy lifts the leg.

1...2...3...It's over.

Kennedy gets to his feet and lets his arm be raised by the referee before shrugging him off. He then charismatically raises his arm and a microphone is lowered in front of him.

Mr. Kennedy: Your winner in the first SWTF match is...MR KENNEDY...KENNEDY!

Kennedy's music hits the speakers as he heads off backstage.

Winner: Mr. Kennedy
Cruiserweight Open- Matt Sydal vs Jimmy Wang Yang vs Johnny Devine vs Sonjay Dutt vs Austin Aries

The match starts and Johnny Devine attacks Sonjay Dutt from the off, getting in some punches and whipping him to the ropes. Jimmy Wang Yang and Austin Aries are staring each other down, and Matt Sydal takes this oppurtunity to run in. Sydal leaps into the air and puts his legs on either side of Aries' head. He then executes a hurricanrana, he grabs Aries' stray legs, going for the pin attempt. The referee gets to two, but Wang Yang climbs to the top rope and moonsaults onto the pin attempt, breaking it up.

Devine looks to attack the tangled mess that is Sydal, Wang Yang and Aries, but Dutt comes back and delivers a half-nelson bulldog to Devine. Jimmy Wang Yang untangles himself from Aries and waits until Dutt gets up before superkicking him back downto the mat. Dutt rolls out of the ring, and lays flat on the floor on the outside. Sydal gets up and forward rolls before leaping up and delivering a forward-roll hurricanrana on Wang Yang.

Dutt is hanging on to the guard rail to support himself on the outside, and after a couple of seconds or so, decides he can stand, and lets go. He's about to move back into the ring, when Austin Aries sprints towards the ropes and leaps over them, crossbodying Sonjay Dutt. Aries gets back to his feet and trash talks Dutt, before looking back at the ring. Devine has got his feet and jumps onto the rope, performing a Devine Intervention (Moonsault into Frog Splash).

All 5 men are down. After a few seconds, the three men outside the ring, are rising, and the two men in the ring have risen. Wang Yang and Sydal look at each other and nod. They both sprint at the ropes and leap over, twisting their bodies in the air and bringing Aries, Devine and Dutt down with perfect Corkscrew 450 degree splashes. The crowd go wild as Wang Yang and Sydal roll back into the ring.

Matt Sydal gets up first and whips Wang Yang into the turnbuckle. Sydal walks over to Wang Yang and lifts him to the top rope. Sydal wraps his arms around his torso and attempts a cyclorama, but Wang Yang pushes him off the rope. Sydal lands on his feet and Wang Yang moonsaults off the rope onto the standing Sydal. He lands on Sydal and grabs his leg for the pin.

1...2...3!

Sydal has been eliminated.

Jimmy Wang Yang tries to get back up, but Austin Aries kicks him in the face, sending him back down to the canvas. He tries to go for the cover, but Sonjay Dutt leaps on the pin attempt, breaking it up. Dutt drags Wang Yang to his feet. He tries whipping him to the ropes, but Wang Yang reverses it and Dutt ends up going to the ropes. He's stopped halfway, however, by Johnny Devine who performs the Devine Driver on him and pinning him.

1...2...3!

Sonjay Dutt is eliminated.

Johnny Devine then turns to Jimmy Wang Yang. Wang Yang steps back and walks into Austin Aries. He's stranded. They get closer, 'til they're touching him. Aries tries a kick to the stomach, but Wang Yang dives out of the way at last second, and Devine is kicked instead. Aries shrugs and executs the Crucifix Bomb on Devine. He covers him for the three count.

Johnny Devine has been eliminated.

Jimmy Wang Yang has got to the top rope in this time, and, as soon as Aries turns around, delivers a Missile Dropkick to his chest. Aries crumples to the floor as Wang Yang riles up the fans. He runs to the ropes and leaps onto the middle rope, backflipping and performing a springboard moonsault, landing perfectly on Austin Aries. He covers him.

1...2...3! It's over. Austin Aries has been eliminated.

Wang Yang shouts "Yeehaw!" and waves his arm around in a "lasso-cowboy" style. He climbs each turnbuckle in turn doing this.

Winner: Jimmy Wang Yang

The camera goes backstage where we see Mr. Kennedy with Todd Grisham.

TG: I am here with Mr. Kennedy, who beat BJ Whitmer in the first of tonight's and STWF's matches. How do you feel?

Kennedy: How do I feel? I feel in the form of my life. I am the top man in Destruction, and I've got my eyes firmly on the prize.

TG: Of what prize would you be referring?

Kennedy: What prize do you think? The other titles aren't good enough for Mr. Kennedy. So, anyone who thinks they have a chance with the STWF Heavyweight title are sadly mistaken. That title belongs to MR KENNEDYYYYYY...KENNEDY!

Juventud Guerrera vs MVP

The bell rings and both wrestlers circle each other before Juventud Guerrera runs at MVP, sliding between his legs. MVP turns around and gets hit by a dropkick from Juventud Guerrera. He hits the mat hard and Guerrera bounces off the ropes before senton splashing onto MVP. The crowd are stunned by Juvi's pace, and Juvi tries it again, but this time, MVP arm drags him on his way back.

Guerrera gets up quickly and runs at MVP again who, again, arm drags him. Juvi is slightly stunned as he makes his way to his feet again, and MVP capitalizes, hitting Guerrera with a series of lefts and rights. He goes for another left, but Guerrera is too quick and leaps up, grabbing MVP's head, and executes a float-over DDT, sending him crashing to the canvas.

MVP rolls out of the ring as Guerrera taunts to the crowd, getting them geared up. MVP has got to his feet outside the ring and has picked up a steel chair. He rolls back into the ring, chair in hand, and purposely leaves it in the corner. The referee is distracted with putting the chair away, so MVP low-blows Guerrera, sending him falling to the mat. He drags Guerrera back to his feet and hooks his leg around his head and falls forward performing the Playmaker. The referee turns back and sees the pin, he slides in.

1...2...3!

Winner and through to the next round- MVP

A video plays hyping the rest of STWF and the big match tonight, Samoa Joe vs Kurt Angle.

Carlito vs CM Punk

Carlito runs at CM Punk, attacking him before the bell. Carlito charges CM Punk into the corner Carlito then puts his legs on either side of CM Punk on the middle rope and falls backwards, kicking CM Punk into the air. CM Punk flips in the air, but lands on his feet, much to the delight of the crowd. Carlito gets up, and looks infuriated that his move didn't work. Carlito starts talking trash talk to CM Punk. Punk reacts by moving forwards quickly. Carlito moves fast and jumps onto the second rope, flipping backwards. He lands on his feet, with CM Punk in front of him.

Carlito runs at Punk again, but this time Punk's ready for him. Punk ducks down and leaves a foot out, tripping Carlito over the top rope. Carlito lands heavily outside the ring. Punk gets up, puts his hands on the top rope and flips himself over, executing a slingshot somersault senton on Carlito. Both men lay down on the floor as the referee begins counting. He gets to 6, and CM Punk makes his way to his feet. He drags Carlito up and rolls him into the ring. He follows. Carlito begins making his way to his feet and CM Punk starts climbing the turnbuckle.

Carlito gets to his feet, and CM Punk corkscrew moonsaults from the turnbuckle, he grabs Carlito's head and performs a Corkscrew Blockbuster. CM Punk, however, doesn't look like he's going to pin Carlito and drags him to his feet again. He drags Carlito to a turnbuckle and places him on the top rope. CM Punk looks to be taking a run up, and faces away from Carlito for a second. It appears to be a bad mistake as Carlito gets up on the top rope and flips over CM Punk. Punk looks mesmerized, but Carlito takes advantage and performs the back cracker on CM Punk. He goes for the cover.

1...2...

Carlito puts his legs on the rope, and the referee notices. Carlito looks very frustrated and kicks the bottom rope. He then goes back to Punk and drags him to his feet. Winner and through to the next round- CM Punk

Backstage, and Rey Mysterio is warming up in his locker room. The crowd gives a cheer, which turn to boos when Christian Cage walks into view.

Cage: Rey, I'd just like to wish you luck tonight. I mean, you'll need it because you never know, you might just...fall short.

Cage laughs at his own joke.

Mysterio: Look, Cage. You don't have your coalition anymore. They won't have your back. Your on your own, Cage. Like the rest of us. And tonight, you'll feel the force of the 619 and of Rey Mysterio!

Mysterio slaps his chest, and the crowd cheers. Cage looks pretty shocked and walks off.

London and Kendrick vs World's Greatest Tag Team vs Serotonin vs America's Most Wanted

The bell rings and the match begins. Brian Kendrick runs at James Storm of America's Most Wanted. James Storm looks relaxed and holds his ground. When Kendrick is close, Storm pushes him over his head, and Kendrick's momentum takes him to the outside where he crashes on one of the ladders. Serotonin look to take an early advantage as Paul London is kicked into the corner by both Bentley and Kazarian.

Bentley stomps on London and leaves his foot on his throat, pushing down and using the top rope to steady himself. Shelton Benjamin has slid behind Chris Harris and wraps his arms around Harris's waist. He then falls backward and delivers a German Suplex to Harris, sending him over the top rope and out of the ring. Haas then runs at Benjamin who gives him a leg-up over the ropes. Haas flies through the air and leg drops onto Harris.

Shelton laughs and walks over to James Storm. He catches Storm by surprise and executes a roundhouse kick, sending him down to the mat. He then leaps onto the ropes and flips over, performing a springboard moonsault on James Storm. The crowd cheers as Kendrick is back to his feet. Kendrick jumps onto the ropes and attempts a crossbody on Benjamin who manages to catch him and use his momentum to perform a bone-crunching T-Bone suplex.

Charlie Haas has got to his feet on the outside and picks up a ladder. He throws it into the ring and gets in after it. When he's rolling in, Matt Bentley of Serotonin baseball slides into his face, causing him to fall back to the outside. Meanwhile, his partner, Kazarian, picks up the ladder and lines it up with the middle of the ring. Eventually, he sets it up and begins climbing.

Paul London tears across the ring and climbs up the other side. The anticipation is huge as both men reach the top at the same time. Both men exchange blows. After a few punches between them, Kazarian goes for another punch and London ducks. He then acts quickly and forward rolls on Kazarian's back. He grabs Kazarian's legs in mid air, and performs a devestating powerbomb.

Kazarian seems totally out of it as London also seems to be feeling the side-effects of that awesome move. Storm, Harris, Bentley, Benjamin, Haas and Kendrick, however are all back to their feet and have climbed into the ring. They all stare each other down and begin circling around the ladder. Bentley looks to have had enough and starts ascending the ladder. Instantly, Storm and Harris start shaking the ladder. Bentley has no chance of reaching the title, so he suicide dives, taking out Kendrick in the process.

World's Greatest Tag Team and America's Most Wanted are the only people standing. The Wilback, volleying Harris's head. Harris falls back and Benjamin turns around in time to see Storm near the top of the ladder. Haas climbs the other side whilst Benjamin walks under Storm. He grabs Storm and powerbombs him off the ladder whilst Haas reaches the top and unhooks the belts. dcat, Chris Harris dives at Charlie Haas, flooring him. Rey Mysterio vs Christian Cage

The bell rings and Cage is standing and pointing at Rey Mysterio, laughing. He trash talks to him about his size and Mysterio stands his ground, staring at Cage. Cage walks up to him and slaps him. Cage laughs and slaps him again. He tries a third time, but Mysterio's had enough. Mysterio leaps up and hurricanranas Cage. Cage gets up and looks annoyed. He starts trash talking to Mysterio again and delivers an uppercut to him.

Mysterio falls back against the ropes and Cage whips him to the ropes on the far side of the ring. Mysterio hits them hard and comes back quickly. Too quickly for Cage. Mysterio jumps and crossbodies Cage, sending them both flying out of the ring. The referee begins to count them out and gets up to 6 before they're both back to their feet and into the ring again. Mysterio quickly bounces off the ropes and tries to duck through Cage's legs, but his head gets trapped. Cage lifts him up and powerbombs him, shaking the ring. He keeps Mysterio's legs up in a pinning predicament.

1..2...

Mysterio kicks out, and rolls backwards before dropkicking Cage in the face. Cage falls back onto the mat and Mysterio leaps onto the top rope, legs either side of the turnbuckle and flipping back, landing a split-legged moonsault on Cage. He covers him.

Cage gets up and starts taunting to the crowd who are giving him some serious heat. He drags Mysterio to the corner and settles him on the top turnbuckle. He climbs up to the middle rope and hooks his arm around Mysterio's head before falling back and attempting a superplex. Mysterio, however, lands it and Cage just falls to the floor.

Mysterio waits for Cage to get to his feet before sprinting at him again. Cage sticks out a fist, and Mysterio gets hit by the clothesline and goes down. Cage lifts him up to his feet and looks ready to perform the Unprettier, however, Mysterio rolls out of it and punches Cage. Cage turns around and falls onto the middle rope, facing the crowd. Main Event- Kurt Angle vs Samoa Joe

The bell rings and Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle stand perfectly still, staring each other down. The tension is at breaking point as Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe move closer. Angle leaps in and headbutts Joe. Joe grabs his head and returns the favor with a punch to Angle. Angle falls back and Joe leaps up and performs a jumping enzuigiri to Angle who crashes to the canvas. Samoa Joe then executes the Samoan Elbow (feint leg drop into elbow drop) onto Angle's grounded body.

Joe drags Angle back to his feet, and Angle elbows Joe in the chest. Joe seems to be slightly winded and turns away from Angle. Angle wraps his arms around Joe and performs a stunning German Suplex, sending Joe across to the other side of the ring. Angle gets up and taunts the crowd, who boo him heavily. He then goes over to Joe's floored body and locks in the Ankle Lock. He applies the pressure as the strain shows on Samoa Joe's face.

The crowd are willing Joe to the rope, and he crawls steadily, but he doesn't have far to go and his hand reaches out and clutches the bottom rope. The referee starts a count to five, and the disgruntled Angle lets go of Joe's ankle. Angle starts arguing with the referee, and Joe uses the time to get back to his feet. Angle is still arguing and Joe wraps his arms around Angle's waist and German Suplexes him onto the canvas before Joe lifts him back up again and performs a Dragon Suplex. Angle looks like he can't take anymore and Joe finishes off the Chimera-Plex with an X-Plex. Angles rolls out of the ring and beckons to Joe. Joe climbs out of the ring and performs a missile dropkick on Angle.

Angle lands on the guard rail, so he retains his balance. He grabs Joe and rams him into the steel steps. Angle drags Joe up again and hurls him towards the far-side guard rail. Joe clatters into that too and falls down to the floor. Angle laughs and drags Joe up the ramp to the staging area. By this time, they've both been counted out and the match is a draw. Joe pulls Angle's foot making him lose balance and making him fall face-first onto the metal. Joe gets to his feet and drags Angle up. He backhand chops Kurt Angle and Angle looks pretty dazed. He ducks a wayward punch from Joe and goes around behind him, hooking him up. Angle suicidally Olympic Slams Joe off the staging area and they both fall to the concrete below. Medics rush on and stretch them both off.
