WWE: Battle of the Brands - A Chez/Connor/Jay Story

The WWE are cracking. Ratings are falling, with each show turning out worse than the one before. Fans are getting anxious and ultimately bored with the programming, so they have decided to jump on the TNA and Ring of Honor bandwagons.

World Wrestling Entertainment can't stand it anymore and take drastic action, hiring three amateur bookers to help steer the company out of trouble. They will each take charge of either RAW, Smackdown or ECW.

To make things even more crazy, an untelevised draft took place. Every superstar was drafted and every roster is now completely different. All champions have vacated their titles and left them at the respective brands.

But as the Battle of the Brands begins, the ultimate battle is already in action. Will Total Nonstop Action prove that they are the new top dogs, or will these new head bookers prove to the globe that WWE is still the number one promotion?

RAW News, Interviews And Rumours!!

WWE Championship Rivalry? Possible Push?

• WWE writers are planning to spark a feud between the Undertaker and Kane, over the WWE Championship. It is not yet known if one of these two will grab the championship next Monday on RAW, but this feud could see a sequel to their legendary Inferno match, possible at SummerSlam or Survivor Series.
  
• Wrestlecircle.com have learnt about the possibility of a push for either Shelton Benjamin or Jeff Hardy. Hardy seems the likely candidate, and could be in the WWE title picture, when the next feud is over.
  
• Lastly, JJ Simpson has intentions of scrapping the Women's Division. He is rumoured to want the Hardcore Championship back, to add some friction in the Midcarders, and to spice up the shows with the crazy 24/7 rules.

Smackdown Preview - Friday 3rd August

WWE will never be the same again.

The recent upheaval of the whole WWE has meant that this edition of Smackdown is a new beginning, with new oppertunities.

All the titles are vacant, there is currently no GM announced and the superstars have been moved around and most are new to Smackdown. Big names like John Cena, Triple H and Shawn Michaels are all now on Smackdown from Raw, and ECW stars like The Sandman and Marcus Cor Von have joined Smackdown's names like Edge. Some of Smackdown's top men have left as well, such as Batista.

The first issue to resolve is the World Heavyweight Championship - the pinacle of all wrestling. Smackdown will be holding a series of qualification matches for the title match at Summerslam. The 10 men who are battling for the title are: John Cena, Edge, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Chris Benoit, King Booker, Chris Masters, Hardcore Holly, Marcus Cor Von and The Great Khali. Each week there will be random matches arranged by the computer. The loser/s of those matches will be out of the tournament! Watch this week for the first round of matches

The Tag Team titles will also be up for grabs at Summerslam. Smackdown will be holding a team lottery guantlet tournament. This means that two teams will be selected to start this week. The winning team stays in, but the losing team is out. The 2 teams who are set to fight when it comes to Summerslam will battle with the title on the line! Tune in to see great teams like The Major Brothers, The Highlanders, Degeneration-X and more!

The United States and Cruiserweight titles also need a home. Find out how they will be decided this week

Plus, Smackdown's new General Manager will be announced to open the show!
