Support for a new Technical section

If you post threads and I can contribute I will contribute.
Equally if other members are posting in the threads too that will be a pretty good indication they are popular.

Just because certain people disagree with the need for the forum it doesn't mean they are going to deliberately undermine it.

ok how are you going to tell other members that they can post technical topics in another forum?

Not legally it can't, but that's irrelevant anyway

Ok colin,i can start threads if i want but what if i start threads asking technical question, but uall just coz ure against me dont even bother replying there.

Eg-If i ask something that you know but what if u dont reply just coz im asking it.

Also if the threads start then u will say that they are threads made by me so u wont consider putting them in a different forum.

Finally many members dont know that they can post in technical questions in a different thread, how are we going to tell them to start technical topics
We're not all against you, we just think it's not necessary. And I don't think he's talking about you creating 8 billion threads for the sake of proving a point, if legitimate demand is there we will act on it and we certainly won't be petty enough to try and undermine anything. And surely common sense would indicate that editing topics and such should be placed in the appropriate game forum, I don't think educating members is the issue.

Ok,lets try it out, where do u want me to start a new thread on this matter(I will just start one thread and depending on the feedback in that thread we can decide if a section is required or not,ok?)

Well if we're talking general editing and not game specific they're usually in this forum anyway. Besides, like I said, if you want to start a thread and encourage people to post in it that's fine.

Isn't that what we're doing right now?

Im going to give you some rep for this piece of genious.

sorry i couldnt understand the last bit colin,I said where should i start the thread,in cricket 2005 forum?

You have to remember two things Sid. One, that the admin are in charge and make the decisions because they have experience, and two, this is a cricket gaming site.

Oh, and don't mess with Colin. He's a bad boy :D

For general discussion (ie. not specifically game related) it should be right here- don't know why people would post in a big thread anyway when they could just make their own specific topic where appropriate

So do you want me to start a thread or make ppl aware that they can post technical stuff in General thread?

Can you tell me the definition of the word General?

The thing is, a thread just limits discussion options, and making people aware of something that's just common sense is pretty useless also I think (surely general implies you can post anything?). Letting people do what they want has led to a few threads (Photoshop one, squad editing one and such) where they're needed and that's what should continue happening- if you really have to do something, I'd say a general help thread in Gen Chat would do the trick.

Oh im sorry brad,i already posted a hex editing question in a new thread.Should we keep all the tech questions in one thread or ask different questions regarding entirely different topics in different threads,i think the second idea is a better one.

I do not see the point in creating a seperate technical section. My suggestion would be to create a "Technical" sub-forum in the General forum, like how we have the Never-ending topics forum, etc. If that generates enough interest, it can get a forum of its own.

Or we might as well continue using the General forum for technical stuff :)

There you go. That's the solution.
