If you want to post a youtube, go ahead. The mods will check it, decide if it's suitable for public consumption and if it is, then it'll appear in the post. :)

I felt quite bad about myself after that for expecting her to be terrible. Really awesome performance.

Actually previous year there was also a guy who sang like an operaplayer.

It sucks because everyone made their judgments about her before she even said a word. That one chick in the audience that rolled her eyes when Susan Boyle said she wants to be a professional singer deserves to be punched in the face right there.

Can't believe it has taken this long to spot her. Certainly has a good voice probably better than those on American idol right now!

Absolutely fantastic, I'm listening to it now. She could never actually play Fantine in a million years, but she sure can sing that song (and it is a tough one to sing).

Mate, give the average pop 'star' a song like 'I Dreamed a Dream', or any other song from Les Miserables, and they'd be up the creek without a paddle. :)

I wonder what she sounds like if she does Karaoke? ;) She didn't have the guts to get up there, did she?

What? Britain has talent?
It's amazing how about half of the Aussie's on the site have come up with the same joke.

Anyway this was the gayest thing ever. Although I'm just still not over signature not winning, saw them in a club near me as well and they were miles better than Susan Boyle. That Amanda Holden needs a slap.

How do you mean 'gayest thing ever'? Maybe you didn't like the type of song Susan Boyle sang; not everyone likes West End musicals and there's nothing wrong with that, but that song she chose to sing was a real toughie, in front of that panel especially, so kudos to her. So what if she doesn't look like the typical young blonde cardboard cutout singer (well, million miles away), she has an amazing voice. I've seen Les Miserables on stage (that's where 'I Dreamed a Dream' is from) and her voice was every bit as good as the people I saw. Unfortunately for her, she doesn't fit into any of the West End's 'types' and she's also far too old to start a career in musicals, but as a straight singer, maybe...

Niiiiiiiiiiiice!!!!

Edit: Maybe I'll have a shot at the show if they do it again next year, I could carry off a 'Les Mis' number with real style! I think it'd be easier than an X Factor audition because (if you get to the judges stage) you get to perform in front of a huge audience, so you can work off their energy; I prefer that than auditioning to a stony faced panel (most audition panels are like that) any day: you could just imagine you're in a West End performance and aim your eyeline well above the panel. In fact, that'd be my advice for anyone thinking about having a go on that show. Take advantage of the fact that you're in a theatre with a good sized audience and aim your song at the upper circle!

Hasn't she already been offered loads of things; like a contract on a T.V. show opposite Roger Lloyd Pack?

I actually thought that she was going to be good. No joke. You could tell my the tone in how Ant and Dec were telling us that she was going to be on next.
