i don't understand why singing about bad things is good. that's why i don't like rap. it's such a bad influence. something that is followed by billions of people, so it definitely has a lot of influence and they say about guns and drugs etc. no wonder there's so much of that in the world, it's because of influences like amy winehouse etc.

I agree, the Zutons are far superior, and I bet they earn a fraction of what she does. Can't stand the music or the women.

Agreed about rap, it is full of bad influences and it's what most of the kids listen to these days. Seems to me that you have a better chance of making it in the music biz if you can shout aggressively at high speed rather than being able to actually, you know, sing.

Have you noticed how many of these 'stars' cannot sing live to save their lives? I saw Madonna in concert on TV a while back and her singing was flat almost all the time!

I don't get why she is famous in the first place, for singing a song about her being a nut case and her dad or some crap like that.

Shes ugly, her voice is disgusting I don't understand why people think its beautiful most irritating thing I've heard. So going by those two things she doesnt deserve to be a big time celebrity.

Nor does that Adele girl whos some fat chav...but shes not a celeb yet...

Fantastic musician. She has every right to be famous because of her outstanding voice. I don't buy into this 'she's not a role model to young kids' crap either. Why does she have to be a role model? She's allowed to live her own life and if some of her fans are really stupid enough to emulate all the druk taking and binge drinking she does then it's their own fault and they deserve to be whinos.

Her and Pete Doherty get a lot of bad press because they are'nt role models. So what. They are two of the finest musicians that Britain has ever produced and we should embrace that rather than the drugs and the booze.

I'll probably be in the minority here but I think she's got a beautiful voice and great vocal talent on top of which she's quite an artist. I'm not really interested in what she does in her personal life to be perfectly honest.

She has got a strong, unique voice, but I would never in a million years call it 'beautiful'. What's so infuriating from a performer's point of view is we work our butts off for years and some of us get nowhere, whereas she has been lucky enough to break through and she's completely wasting her opportunity and talent! As for not caring what she does in her personal life, fair enough, but if she carries on like that, she won't be around for too much longer, not in the music biz with a record deal, at any rate and maybe not around full stop. She badly needs help.

She has a fantastic voice for the jazz, blues style she does. It's one of the best around. The fact people are slating her voice is ridiculous.

Her music is fantastic, one of the great modern artists. Her album is awesome, and deserves all the praise she gets, concerning her music anyway. She, and like Matt said, Pete Doherty are 2 of the great British musicians in the past few years, Doherty more so as far as i'm concerned.
