^^What it says in the title

Basically, post your first XI and a little review on each player. This way, we can all familiarise with each other's team. No real skills needed, although if you wish to post them then feel free to do so.

I'll start:

First XI

Lennox Rudi - The young prodigy in my team. A solid, compact, topr order batsman, and a brisk medium pacer too. Capable of bowling with the new ball as well. Also a bright fielder, brings lots of energy and entusiasm to the field. Tipped to be the next Ryan Crouch, he certainly is on route to earn that honour.

Nyron Cox - One of the team's veternans. An opening batsman ever since the team started, he has gotten the team off to flying starts on numerous occasions, as well as playing some match winning knocks. He also fancies himself as somewhat of a fast bowler, bowling to the batsmen consistently in the nets. On his bowling debut, he scalped 3/53. However, it is unlikey he will bowl again. A poor fielder, his attempts in the outfield vaugely resemble Danish Kaneria...

Anthony Hodge - A newcomer in the team, he is a steady accumalater of runs in the top order, registering a 50 and a 100 on his first two outings for the team. Also a decent outfielder, and his captaincy skills have had some tip him has a future skipper.

Billy Shipp - Another relative newcomer, this dimunitive man is a powerful striker of the cricket ball. However, he has the experience and temperment to build up an innings and to carry the team through in times of trouble. Also a useful medium-pace option, and a brilliant fielder.

Ryan Crouch - The legend. What more can be said about him that has already not been said? Amazingly destructive batsman, terriffic bowler, and a brilliant fielder. Has rescued the team and won matches single handedly time and time again.

Rich Butcher - Another newcomer. Had a bit of a nightmare start -2 runs in his first 4 innings with 3 ducks- but this belligerent left-hander has redeemed himself with some blazing half centuries, not forgetting a match-winning 79 off as many deliveries. His left arm tweakers are also worth a mention, and he is decent enough in the field too.

Arthur Dennis - The TT Lions first -and best- skipper. A destructive lower-order batsman, not many in the world have been known to hit a cricket ball herder than him. He has played many a match saving knock, and many bowlers have had nightmares after facing up to him. Some careers have been destroyed too, just ask Cummings. As a captain, he is one of the best in the business, mixing aggression with defense brilliantly. The TT Lions have flourished under him, and will hope they can continue for years to come.

Asif Bolder - Not an original member of the team, he has been long enough to be called a veternan. His arrival signalled the end of Anton Fallon's reign as keeper. He is tidy behind the stumps and is fairly comfortable whilst keeping wicket to the slower bowlers. Also a useful slogger at the end of the innings, he is yet to prove himself with the bat.

Keith Andrews - The teams most experienced bowler, this battle-hardned veternan has seen it all. He is a tight and tidy left arm spinner, in the mould of Vettori. He isn't afraid to give the odd ball some flight and rip, and so far in his stint with the team has impressed. Forms a lethal spin-bowling partnership with Bill Tuckett. Little is said about his skill with the bat, but it should be known that he started his career as an allrounder who batted in the middle-order, before he decided to focus more on his spin bowling after playing his first few OD games.

Runako Atkinson - The Lion's strike bowler ever since the team was formed, this seamer isn't afraid of giving it his all. He is more of a swing bowler than a pace one, although he is capable of touching ferocious speeds. He hasn't bowled many match-winning spells, but is consistent and doesn't fail often. His batting is more swing or miss, although he did swipe a remarkable 87 opening the innings against the Antigua All-Stars. He is also pretty useful in the field.

Bill Tuckett - The new spin superstar of the TT Lions. This 17 year old is the best product of the TT Lion's youth academy by far. A He is a matchwinning bowler, who gives the ball a big rip with unnerving accuracy and cunning changes in flight, and isn't afraid of bowling long spells. He is at his best when batsmen try to go after him, and perfroms remarkably under pressure for a kid his age. However, he is a terrible fielder, and claimed by many to be the worst batsman this team has produced since Chris Gamble. But he is determined to throw away these assumptions, as he showed when he batted for an entire 78 balls for 29 runs opening the innings against the Clueless Americans, pounding a six in the process. His leadership skills have also impressed many pundits, and at 18, he has a large future ahead of him.

Subs

Carlton Drayton - A Lion's veternan, and for a long time, Atkinson's partner in crime. You'd be forgiven if you mistook him and Atkinsons as twins! Born on the same day, grew up together as kids, both left-arm seamers, and both equally terrible batsmen and equally sharp fielders. Drayton tends to rely more on accuracy and control than swing and pace, and provided the perfect foil to Atkinson in the Lion's early days. But the emergence of Rudi and Tuckett as strike bowlers and the arrival of Andrews saw him forced out of the team. However, he still remains a force to be reckoned with and can be unplayable on his day.

Craig Bunn - This chubby batsman arrived in the team tagged as the new Arthur Dennis. However, he has found himself fighting for a spot without doing much wrong. He has many similarities to Inzy, the power, the temperment, and the build! Also bowls some tidy seam-up bowling, which does see, difficult for a man his size. He has played many match-saving innings, and is working hard towards securing a perment spot in the team.

Dev Newby - This 25 year old has just signed with the team. Has yet to play, yet promises to be a steady batsman and also an efficient part-time seamer.

Thomas Rheams - A talented keeper, quite easily the best in the team. However, he suffers from low self-confidence and form, which tends to affect his performances. Currently the team management is working on getting his confidence back, after which he secure a permanent booth in the FC, and possible OD, team.

Leighton Heath - A solid if unspectacular opening batsman, Heath can almost always be relied upon for a good start to the innings. Not the fastest scorer, but hugely consistent, a career average of 63 shows his class. His major failing is a poor conversion rate - just 2 centuries from the 27 times he has passed 50 in his career. He is currently enjoying his best ever season, easily topping the league averages with an average of 153, and a very respectable strike rate of just over 83.

Bill Mason - Was for a long time the best batsman and captain of the team, but despite losing both those mantles remains an integral part of the batting line up. Averages over 80 in his career and 112 this season, his more aggressive left handed strokeplay compliments that of his opening partner nicely. An incredible run of 5 straight centuries this season show he is a force to be reckoned with, with both League and Planetcricket opponents suffering. Showed his class with 116* off just 89 balls to put the Planetcricket Battrick Shield final beyond doubt.

Gordon Gilroy - Captain of the side, and arguably the best batsman owned by a Planetcricket member, Gilroy finally filled a long standing problem the team had in finding a really incredible batsman. Has yet to be really tested with the Wulfs, as Mason and Heath have a habit of knocking off the majority of the runs needed, but will really come into his own next year, both in First-Class matches and, hopefully, Division IV level competition. The first of the Old Wulfs key Australian pairing.

Caleb Fieldwick - FreddieFan describes Fieldwick as "the best value buy I have made" and it's easy to see why. Bought for just ?187,274, a career batting average of 47 shows his class. Mason and Heath's prolific partnerships at the top of the order have left Caleb with very little to do with the willow this year, but with the ball he's taken 20 wickets at 20 in the league, and a great individual performance of 5-32 made a tough match against Shane28688 (the joint leaders of Division 2 at the time) into a stroll.

Wayne Purse - One of the few remaining players who have been with the Wulfs since the start. A middle order batsman whose oppertunities this season have really been limited by the superb performances of those above him, but a career average of almost 57 shows that he is certainly capable of playing a crucial innings if early wickets are lost.

Bill Stiles - At 17, the youngest first team regular, but a huge talent for the future. A young all rounder promoted from the Academy earlier this year, great things are predicted of Stiles. Performances so far have been dissapointing due to how hard he pushes himself in training, but as soon as he's happy with his game he'll be one of the stars of the team.

Thomas Griffin - The fastest bowler in the team, and another genuine all-rounder. His express pace has brought him 23 wickets at 17 this season, and he's also shown that he can do it with the bat as well, recording a top score of 92. As with various others, batting oppertunities have been few and far between this season, but aged only 20 the best is yet to come.

Pete Jarrett - The team's Mister Versatile. He can bat, he can bowl and he can keep, making him a great man to have in the squad, but he forces his way into the team ahead of other bowlers because he can bat as well. This tactic has paid off in spectacular fashion on occasions, most notably when he played an absolutely key innings of 21 off just 9 balls against the TT Lions to tip a match that was going to the wire in our favour. A bowling best of 3-13 shows he's no bug with the ball either.

Ghaffar Zafarullah - The team's keeper, Zafarullah is currently playing ahead of exciting youngster Darron Basson, who's tough training routine unfortunately means that he lacks the fitness required to play matches this year. Still, Zafarullah is an excellent keeper, with 46 catches and 8 stumpings in his 29 matches, and he's certainly capable of plugging in with a quick 20 or 30 at the back end of an innings.

Andi Hemmings - The team's spinner and elder statesman. He's taken a mammoth 140 career wickets at around 17, his average for this year is closer to 20 but his economy rate has improved by a whole run an over so it's a sacrifice I'm more than happy to see. Features prominatly in the league averages despite a tough start to the season.

Phillip Otto - What more needs to be said? Another one who started his career at the Wulfs, 103 career wickets at 12.36, 41 wickets this season at 9.66 and untouchable in the league averages. Excellent srike and economy rates make him incredibly difficult to play against. What he lacks in pace he makes up for in control and lethal late swing - just don't mention the batting!

1. Robert Hansen
My Wkt keeper and arguably best batsman in my team and at the age of 18 still have a bright future. He has played many innings to save his team from difficult positions. His career average is 265 with 2 100s and 3 50s in 7 innings with strike rate of 101.

2. Masood Mahmood
One of the star player of the team from day 1 hitting a 99 not out on his debute. He has performed really well for this team and have helped them to win single handendly. In 17 innings he has hit 6 100s and 6 50s with 11 not outs averaging 225 with strike rate of 100.

3. Brian Hollis
One of the most experienced player of the team and with very good stamina he is able to control the situation really well and dont let the team down in crises a very reliable batsman. His career average is 73.97 with 8 100s and 11 50s

4. Monis Haquani
Another player of the team from day 1. A very relaiable player and former captain he do really good in middle oreder as he did today against Robihtos hitting 130 odd runs. His career average is 55.5 with strike rate of 102.88 and 2 100s and 5 50s.

5. Kevin Bernard
Another very trustworthy batsman and you can easily look at him when in crises and teams need a helping hand. Have played some really good innings for the team and always score some runs at the end of the innings. His average this season is 58.5 with 2 50s

6. Mohtashim Jamil
He is also one of those guys present here from day 1. A very good middle order batsman and usually score 30s and 40s for the team. Averaging 45.83 in his career with 2 50s and strike rate of 103.77

7. Jason Mackintosh
A good lower order batsman and very good medium pacer. He perform really well for the team with both bat and bowl like many will know especially Borncrickter aginst whom he scored a wonderful 94 not out when all others failed. His batting average this season is 99 with strike rate of 105 and 1 50. His bowling average is 15.64 taking 28 wickets for the team.

8. Seymour Robinson
A left fast bowler and captain of the team. Now after the departure of legendry Naysmith will open the bowling with Naidoo. His average this season is 17.38 with 16 wickets to his name.

9. Amit Nazir
An experienced right fast bower with career average of 18.11 He has yet to perform for this team but a lot of things are expected of him especially stoping the run flow in last 10 overs.

10. Amir Akhlagullah
The only spinner in the team and that too from day 1. He is the highest wicket taker this season for the team with 29 wickets and that too on green pitches. His main success is to really stop the scoring rate of the oppositon in middle overs. His economy this season is only 2.69. And with only 19 now he has great future in front of him

11. Bakhtiar Naidoo
Arguably the greatest player of the team from day 1. What he lacks in pace he make of that in swing. averaging 12.47 this season with economy of 3. He has performed really well against good oponents. Jeanz would remember that when he took 4 wickets in only win by me agianst him.

Derek Ainsworth - One of the most feared batsman around, his reputation frightens the opposition bowlers before they even step onto the pitch. Ainsworth is an outstandingly good opening batsman, capable of taking bowlers apart before they have even bowled a full over. His career average to date stands at 166 from 44 games with over 4300 runs over his belt and 24 centuries and counting.

Nalin Ali - The young Indian prodigy and without doubt the biggest bargain buy on the forums. 18 years old, and was the youngest ever captain of the Bullets at the age of 17 when he first joined. Ali has been hailed as the next Sachin and on his day is capable of being more dangerous than Ainsworth. His nippy little medium pacers are useful to hold up and end and with 6 centuries already to date, big things are predicted in the coming years.

Hamish Hildred - The old timer of the squad, relenqiushed the captaincy upon the arrival of Nalin Ali and has thrived since doing so. Sometimes too much underestimated by the opponents, but he doesnt bad at 3 for no reason. His free flowing stroke play has masterminded many victory and with his experience of coming in with early wickets down, he is capable of holding the batting together in difficult positions.

Kenny Forbes - The Australian Flintoff is how some have described Forbes since his arrival last season. With over 60 wickets in 16 one day games last season, and a bagful of runs to go with it, Forbes is well known in the league as a devestating all-rounder who can turn any game both with the bat and ball. His 3 centuries have all come since he has been at the Bullets and he is the go to man for Captain Ali when wickets are needed.

Sugriva Moodley - The youngest memeber of the first XI, and this 17 year old can bat. His 50 in his first batting apperance against the TT Lions in a recent friendly showed that he can bat, especially under pressure, and big things are predicted for this young Indian. Widley tipped for the captaincy if Ali ever departs or is unavailable for selection and it has been rumoured he may open in the longer form of the game.

Dan Worthington - This desructive wicket keeper can do more than keep wicket. He can bat, bowl and field and is more than capable of providing some quick fire runs towards the end of an innings. His glove work continues to improve, as does his batting, but yet to really play a long innings to date. The English Adam Gilchrist perhaps?

Hakim Iftikhar - The unsung hero on more than one occasion, Iftikhar is the glue of the middle order and is more than capable of hitting a ball to all parts. The talented Pakistani thrives under pressure and has hit many match winning knocks in recent times. Yet to record a century, but lack of time in an innings has hindered this more than anything.

Tony Pickford - This very talented Aussie is the newest addition to the Bullets team, and has already picked up 20 wickets in 8 games with his spin. His many variations confuse the best of batsman, and he is more than capable with the bat in his hand with 2 centuries and a high score of 132 to his name. Much is expected in the coming seasons from this 20 year old.

Bernard Whalley - The 18 year old West Indian has all the flair and shots of a young Brian Lara. Yet to show his true colours in a Bullets shirt, but big things are expected in the longer form of the game and his free flowing stroke play and solid defensive technique could be vital for the Bullets in the coming seasons.

Hamid Mckinlay - The big New Zealand quickie has a hint of Shane Bond in him, with his fast bowling ripping apart many top orders already in such a short space of time. His best figures of 6-12 came in a recent game, and as all bowlers, he likes to think of himself as an all-rounder, but his batting is yet to be really tested.

Grady Oneil - The most successful youth product of the Bullets to date, taking 72 wickets in 35 one day games since making his debut, and really turned the fortunes of the Bullets in the bowling department. Has come into his own this year with 33 wickets and also achieved his best bowling figures of 6-35 recently too. Posesses a lethal yorker, and his ability to reverse swing the ball is more than handy.

Zaigham Sheikh - Averaged over 100 last year and was the main reason the Pingers got promoted. His big hitting displays have proved any critics wrong who say he's too defensive. His form continued this year, averaging just over 60. At just 19 this batsman has the potential to do lots in the future.

Fareed Lakhani - Bought for a club record ?700,00. His first few displays were terrible hitting 37 in his first 5 games, including 3 consecutive ducks, but when he made a crucial 75 to win the match against league rivals TCC Tigers he showed his potential. His recent promotion to number 2, mainly down to him hitting a personal best score of 191 off 138, has benefitted the team hugely, hitting centuries in the last 2 games. A star in the making.

Fazeel Raza - The unsung hero of the team. A steady scoring player who always performs when needed His opening partnerships with Sheikh last season won the fans hearts. He was unlucky to be demoted to number 3
but has continued to perform. The amount of games he's won individually for the Pingers are easily in double figures.

Toby Saich - A solid batsman who has never really lit up any matches, but seems to always do well against PC opposition, his 76 not out in todays game against the Cricwick Legends the best of the lot. Could be one to watch in the future.

Brian Leary - All-rounder and captain. Bought at 17 for just ?100,000, he has progressd immensley. Despite his failure to find form with the bat, when he does get in, he's a menace to bowlers as he proved in his best knock of 84. His Off-spin can be as good as anyones on his day. With an average of under 20 and best bowling figures of 7-28, he's always a threat.

Yasir Kurshid - Yet to hit a 50 in the league after coming through the youth academy but averages around 40. Really needs to work on his stamina and fielding. Its only a matter of time before he finally hits his 50 but the longer it takes, the more likely the Pingers are to look for a replacement.

Dwayne Freeman - Never played a league match in his life. Signed just this week, he made his debut today but could only manage a second ball duck and figures of 0-58. Needs to improve in his next match but more than likely will.

Asqhar Alauddin - Wicket-keeper. With an average of just 5 with the bat in 8 innings, he definately needs to improve but his wicket keeping more than makes up for that. A slightly erratic keeper who loves diving about. You won't often see any missed catches or stumpings with Asqhar behind the stumps.

Karamat Majid - A brilliant left arm medium bowler at his best, supposedly the Pingers best bowler a the end of last season, but how times change. Has completely failed to make the step up in divisions and quality, taking just 9 wickets all season at an average of over 80. Only remains in the side because there is no one to replace him. Fighting for his cricketing life.

Shankar Rajpar - Another left armer who again has completely lost his form in the league but has done OK in friendlies. Has taken just 1 more wicket than Majid @ just over 50. His economy rate of just over 4 does help him though. His career highlight so far was trapping the legendary all-rounder Ryan Crouch for a second ball duck after being bowled by him earlier in the match, also for a duck.

Zakauddin Latif - The second spinner in the team. After his promotion from the youth academy, he has done alright with the ball without ever really excelling. has figures of 5-138 this season. Has a bright future ahead of him.

only doing the players who deserve mentioning (in a bad spot of form)

Jack Mampe - allrounder (left handed, and a spinner) with huge potential, performances this seaosn have been poor, PF is probably the reason, but with his stats i cant not play him, even if he isnt performing as his stats suggest he should, only 18 one for the future (even if he is australian)

Malcolm Dlomo - 18 year old spinner, outbidded someone in my league who i have a little bit of a rivalry with (ever since we drew) going to be great in FC i think, but PF hampers him a little sometimes,

Gavin archer - had some stamina training reccently, only respectable bowling but is my all time leading wicket taker, great at gettting quick wickets (well sometimes)

Samiullah Chaudhry - deccent allrounder, not as good as mampe (who's primaries are a level higher, however mampe is tilted towards batting, samiulla towards bowling, mampes bowling is 1 level more than chaudry's batting, and his batting is 1 level above chaudry's bowling) not a world beater but he adds steel to the tail, and isnt scared of taking wickets

Shalin Ghandi - wicketkeeper, was cover for swift, who got lured by a bigger team (and played soley as a batsman during that time, quite successfully) averages 45, often when he needs to stick around, consistently comes in an steadies the ship, which is polar opposite to swift who was destructive and would blast a quickfire 30

Peter oakley, Jon Rhodes, Bill nelson - all respectable batsmen, not great, not bad, nelson often wins matches with his attacking nature late on in an innings

Wynarka United

Wynarka United 1st XI

Adrian Reet
Adrian Reet has stunned critics since being transferred late in Wynarka CC?s debut season by hitting two centuries in his first two OD matches for the club. An opener that has replaces Jacob Ludlow and made Wynarka a better team.
Alvin Esaia
One of the younger squad members but he is still equally as stunning. Not yet made a century but hitting some vital fifties. Has been great in the opening position averaging in the 90?s. can also play in the middle order.
Lucas Crowe
The most stunning player in the squad. Started out with the team and isn?t looking to go any where too soon. 6 fifties and a century in his first season. Runner up in V.168 batting averages with 113.
Shaun Davies
Arguably the most underrated player in the squad. When ever given a chance in the team he has impressed with some dazzling fifties and has been rewarded by being names in the first XI.
Alan Grabben
Grabben has gotten some handy fifties for the team and will hopefully impress in the fu. His form has been up and down by getting out before he has even started but on his day he will be a great asset to the middle order.
Joseph Bullivant
The only all rounder in the squad. Yet to prove his batting qualities and his bowling is steadily improving. Looking for a chance at the top of the order to impress and will be looking for handy wickets this season. There have been hints that he will be used as a specialist batsman in the coming season.
Ainsley Dodd
The best wicket keeper batsmen in the squad. Yet to prove himself with the bat but is handy with the gloves.
Richard Renner
Used at the start of the last season but lost favour early. Underrated during mid season and not used much. But after Greg Soar had a lean time with the ball at the top of the order Renner took over. Taking handy wickets and has strengthened the bowling attack.
Lovers Irving
The best spinner in the squad. Regularly taking 2-4 wickets and keeps the runs down in the 30?s and 40?s. Will have competition from the new comer Andrew Tulley but he will also team up with each other and be a threatening force.
Gregg Allan
One of the only players that played in Wynarka?s first ever match. Has been a strong opening bowler and will continue to do so.
Joseph Ahmed
The star bowler in the team. The only player to take 5 for in an innings. Regularly takes 3 or 4 wickets and should be the heart of our bowling attack for seasons to come.
