The Falcons are a Battrick team who have had their up and downs in the battrick world. They are currently the oldest Battrick team at Planetcricket. Recently the team has gone through hard time in which the manager made big changes. Earlier on the Falcons had built superb players who are currently representing the Battrick Pakistan National team and still they are creating huge prospects for the nation to take advantage of. Their current captain Gulzar Shahbaz has the most experience in their squad, and has led the team for 4 consecutive seasons. All together the Falcons have been around for 8 battrick seasons in which they have built a exquisite team. Their home ground, the ZCG has a maximum capacity of 60,000. Now they are in OD league III.12, and FC league III.4. Currently they are 1st in their OD league and 2nd in their FC league.


The Squad

Meer Ansari - Oldest member of the squad. Started 8 seasons ago and was a star opener. He has played 122 OD matches and averages 43.04 with 13 fifties and 4 centuries. He has not been a consistent member of the FC side, his average is a dismal 26.69 with 1 fifty and 1 century.

Stevo Baker - Latest signing by the Falcon manager which cost them $6,000,000. 25 year old Stevo is the latest member to join the Falcons. Left handed middle order batsman who plays a run a ball innings. Closing in on 5000 One day runs, he averages 130.11 and has 16 fifties and 24 centuries. In FC matches, he has around 4500 runs with 18 centuries and 6 fifties at an average of 90. His latest innings of 504* against Faisalabad was his highest.

Nasir Faredullah - 19 years old, Right handed, Middle order batsman. Nasir was found in the Falcons academy and has found a place in the lower middle order. Although his average of 26 in OD's is dismal, he has played crucial knocks which includes 1 century. He has been a success in the FC scene as he raced away to 3000 runs at an average of 88.65 with 10 centuries and 7 fifties.

Abdur Habibullah - Abdur has been a star player who as come from the Falcons academy. He has 2000 One day runs, with 13 fifties and 1 century. And 3500 FC runs at an astonishing average of 114.96 with 13 centuries and 10 fifties. He has solidified his spot in the Middle order for a long time to come.

Majeed Hidayatullah - Majeed is an all rounder who has been pulled out from the Falcons academy. Although he hardly plays a game, he is going under vigorous training and is being slowly being shown to the world. He has played in 3 matches in which he has scored 101 runs, with 83* as his highest. He has taken 5 wickets at an average of 26.20.

Stephen Hitchman - Brought into the team 2 seasons ago, Hitchman is part of the Falcon pace attack. With tons of experience in OD and FC matches, he has an average of 18.83 with 283 wickets in One day matches and has 96 wickets in the FC scene at 14.98. He has also shown that he can be a handy late order batsman with his highest FC score of 122.

Shafiq Jafri - Shafiq is one of the youngsters that has come into the side this season. Not much is known about him except that he is a Right handed batsman.

George Joyce - Coming into the squad for a 4.2 million dollar transfer, George has nearly 6000 OD runs and 3500 FC runs. He started his cricket in England from where he was picked up by an Australian club and then the Falcons bought him. Only 24, he has tons of cricket ahead of him, and his spot in the Falcons line up is sealed.

Keith Lister - The second oldest member in the Falcons squad. Keith was bought by the manager 7 seasons ago. With 3200 OD runs, and 900 FC runs, he was the core of the Falcons batting a long time ago. Now a days he finds him self in the lower order where his experience comes into play. Not known for his bowling, his Left arm pacers have got him 21 OD wickets and 3 FC wickets. He was also the captain of the side for 3 seasons where he was then replaced by Shahbaz.

Salehuddin Mahmood - The bowling star for the Falcons. At his rate he will have more than 1000 wickets at the end of his career. Straight out of the academy, Mahmood has taken 290 OD wickets at an average of 12.26! He has 17 five wicket hauls. His FC stats are even more astonishing! He has 270 wickets in 31 FC matches at an average of 6.21 with 30 five wicket hauls! He has cemented his spot in the line up for a long time to come.

Jalaluddin Sabihullah - Jalaluddin is one of the youngsters that has come into the side this season. Not much is known about him except that he is a Right handed batsman.

Baseer Shirazi - Baseer is a 18 year old player who was pulled out of the Falcons academy. He is a right handed promising batsman, but he has failed to impress in the One day arena. Baseer is used as a rotational player in the line up.

Nihal Sohail - Nihal is one of the youngsters that has come into the side this season. Not much is known about him except that he is a Right handed batsman. He is seen to be a destructive player and has played a couple of Twenty20's.

Scott Solomon - Scott has come in to the Falcons squad following a 4 million transfer from Golds Golacticos. He has 268 OD wickets at an average of 16.90 and has 110 FC wickets at 11.91. His pace bowling provides a partner for Mahmood.

Kazim Tauqiruddin - In the search for a spin bowler, the Falcons found themselves short of funds, and a lot of hope was on the Academy. Fortunately, the Falcons were given a special bowler. This 20 year old spinner has 41 OD wickets at 21.98 and 13 FC wickets at 10.62.

Gulzar Shahbaz - Last but not least, the captain of the side. His keeping skills are simply superb, and his batting is stunning. With 9000 OD runs at an average of 77.28 which includes 34 centuries, and 37 fifties. His FC career hasn't been to shabby either. He has 6000 runs at an amazing average of 144.05. The management was criticized when he was signed for a pricey 1,000,000, but he has lived up to the money. His keeping stats are above par as he has 274 OD catches and 22 stumpings, and in FC 107 catches and 5 stumpings.
