Hi fellas, I've recently gotten into the Cricket Leagues section of this forum and I thought it would be interesting to do one on Ashes Cricket with you guys, and the Hundred is a great opportunity to do it.
So what's this about?
Basically, you, and your possible co-manager, get to manage a brand new team. You get to choose a name, a logo, a jersey, and select a squad, and I simulate the matches on Ashes Cricket (AI vs AI). Between games, you can make changes to your playing 11.
The tournament, sponsored by Greene King, will consist of 8 teams playing in a round robin with games of 20 - 5 ball - overs and the top 4 teams will advance to the playoffs. These teams will be based in the 8 grounds the ECB have listed for the real life version, which are -

Trent Bridge
Edgbaston
Sophia Gardens
Rose Bowl
The Oval
Lord's
Squads
Squads will be selected by a combination of an auction and draft.
English qualified players (including Jofra Archer) will be selected by a draft. This will include each team getting to ECB white ball contracted players and at least 2 players from their nearby counties. These players will not count towards a team's budget. Then, each team will sign 3 overseas players in an auction. Each team will have a budget of £7 Million and if your bid goes unmatched for 24 hours then the player is yours. The amount of money you bid will be the players salary. Teams can make trades with each other until the start of the season as long as you continue to have no more than 3 overseas players and you are paying them less than £7 Million in total.
