David Gower: Hello and welcome back to Lord's where the West Indies are frustrating England and at the close are 242/8. The star man for the West Indies has been Brian Lara the captain who has a century and is looking invincible it has to be said. He is currently 134 not out. Joining me in the studio are Sir Ian Botham and Nasser Hussain. First Nasser what did you make of the West Indies performance today?

Nasser Hussain: I think they have played well and actually put themselves in a position to draw this test if not win it. As you said Lara has played superbly and it has been a joy to watch from a commentators point of view. As for his partners you have to say though he has had poor assistance. Not one other person managed double figures above him although Chanderpaul spent a lot of time with him. Despite this i feel the West Indies will be pleased with their performance overall today.

David Gower: Ian what did you make of the England bowling today but in particular the bowling of Monty Panesar who has a five wicket haul?

Sir Ian Botham: Well he is just getting better and better no doubt about it. Monty is improving with every match he plays and he has once again proved the difference between the teams. A top quality spinner makes all the difference in cricket and especially on a truning wicket. However this one hasn't turned a lot so consistent line and length and variation of speed has got him his wickets on this occasion.

David Gower: Thanks for those opinions Ian and now to remind you that we go into the final day of this test match with the West Indies frustrating England on 242/8. Goodbye and join us tomorrow!
