I’ve gone for one of the lowest impact players possible that is still relevant at the high level in the end.
One of NZ cricket’s biggest mysteries is how
Josh Clarkson still hasn’t been called up to play one token game for the national side despite being arguably the best active batter in the Super Smash at present and despite New Zealand rotating their squad heavily for the Pakistan apology tour during the IPL. It leaves me free to pick him without much baggage though and this bloke
can bat, don’t be fooled by his lack of experience outside his country. He mostly bats at six for Central Districts as a hard hitting finisher and he’s got a wide range of shots but most importantly he also has the power to pull off those massive sixes. He can also bowl as a sixth option adequately enough if asked to but has cut down on that in recent seasons due to his injury proneness and Central Districts preferring to just use him as a pure hitter because he easily gets into the side as one. In any other country other than maybe England and India he‘d have been capped a long time ago.
To leave y’all with a show of what he can do, here’s a couple of highlights packages.
And here’s him hitting the ball out of the park.
@pillowprocter to continue the draft and
@CerealKiller still has an outstanding pick to make should he choose to. If
@pillowprocter does make his pick then
@CerealKiller has got three picks to make.
