You won't believe it. I've lost my match to a so called Div.VI team !! I TIEd it thinking it'd be an easy game and to my surprise, they were a monster team!! I'm annoyed...

Dodd took 2-45 for me on debut, very impressive with moderate fitness. Not quite up to potential U19 standard though.

I've been told by the England U-19 manager that if Ludlam's bowling pops within 3 weeks he'll have a real chance, so fingers crossed.

I TIEd against a better team from IV and lost by 80 odd runs, batting was poor, bowling was decent but could have been better. Can fully concentrate on the league now and trying to re-establish myself as a promotion contender, as well as using these rest weeks well.

Pah, guys superstar spin bowler did me in. A poor effort from the bowlers gave a mediocre top order and woeful middle order 272.

Then batting, something truly amazing happened. We were really bad, the score got to 93/8, with Dexter Ifill and Raymond Osmond, (stats below) at the crease. These guys mustered a miracle 127 run partnership, so we finished on a slightly more respectable 222

Batting: woeful Concentration: mediocre
Bowling: abysmal Consistency: proficient
Fielding: mediocre

Hardly great batsmen, but both made 60 odd, nearly 3 times as the nearest batsman!! Surprised Ifill hasnt done this kinda thing before, I think his highest score was 30. Osmond however...

Also an incredibly bad day for Wood. 1/71 opening the bowling and a golden duck!!

I'm up for a friendly next week...Any other noobs got out unluckily in the cup and want a game?

Will the Battrick league only restart when all teams in the league have been knocked out of their respective cups? Or only those needed for games?
