The PlanetCricket Battrick Sledging Thread

He was a low respectable to start out with, which, although well worth training, isn't likely to be spectacular at this stage. To put it in perspective, I believe he should be Wonderful at very least on his 20th birthday. That do you? :p

He's just been low in the sublevels of the skills you're training. As his secondaries are so good anyway, that isn't a huge issue for you - I doubt if there are more than a handful of 17 year olds with proficient consistency right now.

A consistensy pop for both Rampaul and Alshaun --> both of them now at proficent

Not much BTR increases this week for any1

looks like i just have 1 pop for the week
Ossie Smith - 19 yo, BT Rating=16,150
RH Batsman, LH Spin Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, energetic
An attacking player with proficient leadership skills and abysmal experience.
Stamina: respectable Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: competent Concentration: woeful
Bowling: strong Consistency: respectable
Fielding: worthless

his batting has gone up to competent

how many people have soo many good players, makes me feel like my team is bad

Looks to be a good all rounder in the making. Pop that concentration a few times and you're ready.

Oh man give me a break, another loss coming up.
My next opponent has one guy with a BT rating of 41,925 along with one with 33,720 and a few in the 15000+.

Spinners United CCC vs Challengers XI!

So, The Spin has challenged Embi to the routine traditional friendly. The Challengers will be looking to get revenge on the last two outings, when their rivals beat them both times.

Previous matches:

Challengers XI v Spinners United CCC (435911)

Date: 25/06/2006 Ground: Bryanston Road

The Spinners won the toss and elected to bat, and raced up 256/9 on a green pitch against a woeful seaming attack. Chuguel, Chintaka and Duncum all made 50s.
The Challengers innings was not so good. Although managing to keep their wickets better, an ancient looking Challengers squad managed just 246/7 in their 50 overs.

Code:
Challengers XI	Spinners United CCC
Top Order:	woeful	feeble
Middle Order:	woeful	woeful
Lower Order:	abysmal	worthless
Seam Bowling:	woeful	woeful
Spin Bowling:	useless	useless
Fielding:	woeful	woeful

Result: Spinners United CCC win by 10 runs

Spinners United CCC v Challengers XI (759577)

Date: 15/10/2006 Ground: Spin Arena

Again, the Spinners decided to bat on an even worse batting surface. They were made to pay by the Challengers improved bowling attack (feeble seaming, mediocre spin), only making 153 all out, with Chinthaka the pick of the batsmen with 63 off 64 balls. Ifill bowled very good spin to the spin accustomed batsmen, taking 4/29. Wood also bowled well with 2/19 off only 5 overs.

However, once again the Challengers failed to make the target. They made 136 all out in 40 overs, one over less than the Spinners. Kekeletso made 56 but in the end it was a feeble performance.

Result: Spinners United CCC win by 17 runs

So we have our next match. Will the Spinners continue their thrashing streak? Or will the Challengers finally get revenge? Find out on Sunday!

Nice words from the current U19 England Manager on Midworth

Looks like a good player, could have a U19 chance but i dont think he will get in the side as a wicket keeper as i know of a better one but has a chance of getting in as a batsman.
Also if any teams are out of the cup and fancy a game this Sunday let me know, although im quite happy to have a rest week, the extra income would be nice too.

Thrashing streak? 10 run and 17 run wins? :p

I'd hope to make it 3/3. We have both improved a fair bit from last time and I will be sure to play a full strength team for this one!

In friendlies the money is split 50/50 so always play away at bigger teams and home at smaller ones
