Sort of. Primary skills have wage boundaries - I think respectable, for example, goes from about $700 to $1,100. However, secondaries have an effect as well (the higherer they are, the bigger the effect) and if a player has more than 1 primary skill (ie feeble plus in batting, bowling or wicketkeeping_ it's impossible to tell which are high and low without knowing when the player last popped in a skill.

In friendlies the money is split 50/50 so always play away at bigger teams and home at smaller ones

I have never tried "Take it easy" till this date.I generally play as "Play as Normal" and when there is a newbie team, I play as "Go for it".
