This is the story, of one man's desire. To captain the underperforming English Cricket Team.

English cricket has been on a bit of a role recently, defeating a strong South African Line-Up 2-1.

However they do face an uphill climb if they are to defeat, the rampant Australian cricket team. In the Battle for the Ashes.

It is up to their coach Keith Parker, and team Captain Michael Vaughan. To see what they're really about.

26 March 2005- England Lineup

It's the first test match of the English Summer.

Here are the teams.

England

Afzaal comes into the team, after nearly 4 years on the Outer. The surprising selection here was Ian Bell, (1 test) was preffered over the in-form Kevin Pietersen, a young South-African born wipersnapper.

Alex Tudor, also comes into the side in place of Steve Harmison, who withdrew with a cold at the last moment.

Bangladesh will look, to win their very first test match.

----------

Michael Vaughan Calls heads, its a tails. Javed Omar has a big smile on his face, Bangladesh will bat first.

Channel 4's Johnathen Agnew describes the conditions as he sees it: "It's looks pretty flat for batting this, but the bowlers might get some early help."

England will need to strike early, to have any real chance in this match.

----------

The first 15 minutes of the series, symbolised England's plight. Several Times they just missed the edge, a drop catch by a nervous Ian Bell, enrages them further.

Finally Simon Jones clings onto one off his own bowling, Bangladesh are a rocky 1/11

Jones is on fire, at one stage he has figures of 4-3-4-4. Bangladesh are in deep strife at 5-26. Mohammed Rafique with a dogged 42 saves some face for Bangladesh, who are eventually dismissed for 179. Below is the Batting and Bowling Scorecard respectively.

Good luck, my England story has suffered recently due to my exams, but this looks good, if not better than mine, keep it up
