aussi1st yo u have heaps even after uninstalling but they wont work.. it just shows tham there ignore them when u will want to put it as ur theme and u dont have style XP installed it wil ask u to install it..

Nope working just fine for me. I am not using style xp, I am using Windows normal theme thing. So when I change my theme I get that windows waiting thing and my theme is changed. It's basically shown in that screenshot.

The Windows XP bar along the bottom still never changes?? Everything else does..Do you know it may not?

I reinstalled it and also restarted my PC.

:(

What happens when you go into your normal display properties?
Also I had the same problem where the start menu wouldn't change, I can't remember exactly what I did. Just keep playing around with it and it should hopefully change.

I must have got lucky (no pun intended) :p I can't see any problems with my comp so I'm happy with these new themes.

I'll see what happens after 15 days as that is when the trial expires but I've uninstalled the thing and somehow my themes and now intergrated into windows thus I can change them like you would change Olive Green to Silver.

guys just use windows bilnds to change the taskbar....u can download lots of windows bilnds files from wincustomize.com

Where Can I get the Windows Vista theme from ? without having to install any of those software stuff?

and look at this guys.

You have to install some type of software to get it. I don't know how my trick works and I don't want to try it again cause I might stuff up what I have now.

All I did was install themeXP. Downloaded the Vista theme above. Installed the Vista theme. Vista theme appears in themeXp. Went to the last step and deselected the login menu and loading screen. Clicked apply theme. Didn't work the first time so I restarted. Didn't work after the restart but after mucking around with something I managed to get it to work.

Then I wanted to see what my display prop looked like so went there, I noticed I had a Windows XP red theme now available to me. Tried that, it worked, uninstalled themeXP and it still worked.

I have the Longhorn Beta CD but I can't be arsed Installing it, It's kinda the same anyway, I downloaded the themeXP too ages ago, and I still have the Royle theme, I was stupid as I did'nt Install any other ones likes you did.

Download the patched version of uxtheme.dll (google search for it) and install it. Now you should be able to see and use 3rd party themes. This is how I use 3rd party themes in my computer :)

Bilal91 start the alienguise program click on the invader theme and then on right hand side click apply.

To get the other 3 that can be downloaded for free, once downloaded double click it and it should import them into the alienguise program.
Then you can choose to use them the same way as above.

The Alien guise program doesnt just change themes it also changes icons

AS Prakash also mentioned, its the uxtheme.dll which does the trick. But I do have Style XP installed in my Laptop.:D and that sidebar thingy too.
