Transfer Thread

I don't think having a good keeper is very important. My keeper, Hume, is only feeble! He has respectable conc and cons. He takes on average 2/3 dismissals every game and I can't see the difference between when he played and my respectable keeper played. However, that's enabled me to play proficient batsmen up to No.7, whereas before it was only mediocre.

I prefer specialist keepers on the other hand. I have 2 actually, one (Rheams) for the FC game, and another one (Bolder) for OD games. Bolder is the weaker keeper, but the better batsman, although they both are still tailenders.

See, my batting order often helps me out. I have a good top order and a middle order up to no.7. It's really useful. I don't start worrying if I lose a few quick wickets or if my only batsman *cough Crouch cough* gets out. IMO, wicketkeepers in battrick are of little use if they can't bat.

I don't worry if Crouch gets out. Shall I remind you of the feats of a certain Arthur Dennis?

See Zorax, you do rely a LOT on Crouch. Everyone else is fringe. This Dennis of yours- what is he a respectable batsman with average secondaries?

He is a mediocre with respectable secondaries :p :D
And not everyone is fringe. I rely on Cox a lot (Atleast in the league, he seems to enjoy failing in friendlies). Rudi is also quickly becoming one of my best batsmen. Hodge, Shipp, Butcher, they all are important to me. Crouch is just the Dravid in my team, there to hold the team together when the others fail.

How much? And you'll need a lot of work on Concentration and Consistency, but an excellent player to have in your squad.

Up for sale for ?800,000. The transfer market has really inflated, and guys are selling for crazy amounts of money. Hopefully I can sell Mapes and buy a superstar worth 1.5 million.

Bought him for his batting, bowling will be useful when I need to rest my full-time bowlers (Shipp and Butcher just aren't good enough).
You are right, the market has inflated. Normally I'd buy a guy like for about 30K. I have a couple of players I wanna sell, but I need adequate replacements first...
