Ok many people here are making stuff on photoshop, Flash, or fireworks, and other members are wanting to know how.. So this is a thread for turtorials..

I'll start off with a Flash MX turtorial..

Lets start with something easy...

How to do Motion Tween

1) open a new flash file (any size)
2) If your timeline window is not open press Ctrl+Alt+T
3) Now you should be able to see "Layer 1"
4) Select the first Frame and draw any shape on it.
5) Now Select your shape.. press F8 and a pop-up will appear.
6) Select Graphic from the pop-up and press OK
7) right click on Layer 20 and Insert a Keyframe
8) Keeping your Playhead on Layer 20 move your shape anywhere else.
9) Press Ctrl+Enter to show your creation!

Thanks a lot for the tutorial! Hope you come up with more of these! I am getting used to Photoshop and would love such tutorials!

Ok a Photoshop Turtorial!

Stained Glass Effect

1) Open an image on your canvas by clicking on File>Open and select the image you want to open, then click 'Open'. The effect looks good only on bitmap images, but you can try it out on photos too. The effect varies for different images.
2) Click on Filter>Texture>Stained Glass the Stained Glass window appears, give the following properties : Cell size - 5, Border Thickness - 1, Light Intensity - 0. Then click on OK.

You will come up with something like this:

Painting Effect in Photoshop!

1) Open an image which you want to convert to a painting.

3) Next, click on Filter>Blur>Blur.
4) Click on OK and there's your result.

Horizontal Line Effect in Fireworks

This effect is popular and easy to apply to images. You can also use Fireworks MX 2004 to get this effect.

1)Paste an image on the canvas.

2)Select the Rectangle tool from the toolbox and draw a rectangle over the image. The rectangle can be any color for now.

3)Select Texture from Properties and choose Line Horizontal-3. Give the Texture Amount to 50%.

4)Go to Layers and change the opacity of the rectangle to 35. Now try changing the color of the rectangle to match the image. Here's the final image! Try playing around with the different textures and shades, you might come up with some extraordinary effects!

(you know other people can Help out with some turtorials too..)

Anyways heres a really popular Effect!

Icy Image Effect!

1)Start out with a photograph to which you wish to give an icy look.it has a different effect on different images. (image1)

2)Duplicate your layer. (With the current layer selected drag it to the fifth icon below the Layers panel) Now you'll see two layers on the layers panel. Now continue all the steps with the topmost layer selected.

3)Click on Image>Rotate Canvas>90 CW. Next click on Filter>Stylize>Wind. This opens up the Wind window. On the right is a snapshot of the widow.(image 2)

4)Give the settings as in the snapshot on the right and click OK. (image 3)

5)Now rotate image back to normal, click on Image>Rotate Canvas>90 CCW.

6)Click on Image>Adjustments>Hue/saturation. The Hue saturation window will open. I've used these values, but I suggest you to experiment since the effect differs for different images. Hue - 210, Saturation - 29, Lightness - +23

7)Next click on Filter>Artistic>Plastic Wrap. The Plastic Wrap window appears, experiment these settings and click OK. (image 7)

8)Here's the final result. (image 8)

Great work. My first attempt at neon glow was a disaster with the image I selected so I instead went with diffused glow. Here's what I got:

One of my favorite Effects in Photoshop! it is very easy to do!

This is the Twirl Effect

1)Open a new file and create a new layer. Press D. (to set the default foreground (black) and background colors (white))

2)Use the brush tool, set the properties as in the image below. Draw lines as in the image below the image using your favorite colors.

3)Draw lines as in the image below using your favorite colors.

4)Select Filter>Distort>Twirl, the twirl window will open. Give the angle settings as 999 (maximum) and click OK.

Here's the twirl effect.

Brick Wall

1)Create a new file in Photoshop by clicking on File>Open. Click on Set Foreground Color. Choose brown color or a shade of brick color. Click on OK. Select the Paint Bucket Tool. Click on your canvas. It will fill the background with brown color.

2)Go to Filter>Texture>Texturizer>Brick.

3)A screen named texturizer will appear. Select texture as Brick. Select scaling as 200%. Select relief as 15. Select light direction as top left. Click on Ok.

Give it a try guys.. and if you have anything to share on any program, share with us because your talent needs to be recognised.
