Aleem Da is the pick of the bunch for me. I think Billy Bowden is a decidedly average umpire.

I've been very frustrated from an Australian point of view about the umpiring in this series, but over the course of a five match series, you would think they would even out.

Technology is obviously not the answer though, pretty much all replays are inconclusive. Snick-o-metre is a joke, the fact that it didn't pick up a blatantly obvious edge from Bell is bad enough, but how could it not pick up him also hitting his pad?

We have to make do with what we have, the Aussies have had some good matches with the umpires, and they will have more like this past Test.

That decision diddn't cost Australia the game, that is being ridiculas. THe situation would of been totally different. Gillespie shouldn't of been out in the 1st innings either, Keortzen's decision and im sure he could of gotten 2 more runs. Umpiring decisions are part of the game, they did NOT ruin the test match. Get over it.

What are you talking about mate? I don't have anything to get over, I'm simply commenting on a game of cricket? I said Australia have had plenty of good matches with the umps, and this past Test was a bad one. I assure you I'm not going to childishly expound ridiculous theories about favouratism, bias and so on, I will gladly lead that those sort of comments to your confused coach.....

Every indian fan (including myself) will only have -ve feedback for steve bucknor.

But I think the whole world accepts the fact that he is a very good umpire who has probably made a few mistakes in matches involving india.

I agree m_Vaughan, Bucknor was the best umpire untill recently.

Steve Bucknor is a very good umpire. That he made one or two mistakes in India doesn't make him a bad umpire

He didn't made one or two mistakes, infact more and that too very crucial decisions which decided the match and the series. I agree he was very good umpire but his decisions off lately were very bad.

Actually this one was a bad one for both teams

Ya, bad one for both teams.
:)

Actually his most of his mistakes which we remember came in his last few tests which happened to be in India where it is difficult to umpire, even Billy Bowden made a few mistakes here.It was his age so he decided to retire.

I dont know about bell's decision but petiersen was definately not out

Billy Bowden is certainly the most entertaining umpire

that may be so, but he is one of the worst umpires in terms of descision making. there is only one umpire worse then him, and that is Rudi Keortzen. both need to get different jobs.

Same old Aussies, always finding someone to blame it on, quit your whingeing and realise that your not the best team in the world anymore,

Could you enlighten me to who is then? I'm interested to see who you think it is

You are number 1 in the rankings, however as proved during the Ashes this year, you are declining as the most dominant force in cricket, i dont think we can name England as number one yet, however, it is certainly getting that way.
