Vitality Blast

Great to see a GREAT cricketer is returning again :cheers Will he play International Cricket as well?

Will he play International Cricket as well?

Well he hasn't denied it :)

BBC said:
He added that he did not want his return to last for just a year, pointing out that the likes of Brad Hogg, Glen Chapple and Brad Hodge were still performing at the top level at the age of 43, 40 and 39 respectively.

In Hodge's case, he is still playing for Australia, turning out in the World Twenty20 earlier this year.

Well the hype shall be tempered for the minute, since Lancs have picked Flintoff in their squad for the T20 vs Yorkshire 2moro..

Odd that Freddie limped out of the game 5 years ago with his knee apparently hanging off his body and now he's playing against looking fitter than ever.

That's not a criticism by the way, just an observation. I hope he gets into the Lancashire side.

Watched about 40-45 mins of the first half primarily because I wanted to watch Maxi bat. Although he was out caught cheaply, It was delightful to watch Adams' innings.

I caught the last 6 overs of the match last night, Hampshire deserved to win. Their bowling at the end was very good and once Stevens got out cheaply it was game over.

I was listening to it on the radio while driving yesterday, from what I heard they couldn't quite understand why Kent were so far off the money. They were playing their shots but just not timing them enough to either get them to the boundary or into fielders so its just sort of stagnated. I guess quite a lot of credit for that goes to Briggs and the others for bowling well.

Yeah, there were a lot of leg stump Yorkers at the end of the innings. The Hampshire bowlers were right on the money.

Did anyone see that catch by Finch yesterday? But of course all the credit goes to Lyth for his diving save on the boundary.

Dan Christian scored a century against us yesterday but we still managed to win the game :D

Does anyone know what's happened to Gareth Andrew? His stock seemed to be sky high last season, mainly as a batsman in One day cricket. Yet apparently he's only playing today because it's a reduced T20 game, yet he's done allright again. Seems strange that he no longer gets into their best T20 side.

Will he play International Cricket as well?

I don't think that England is quite that desperate.

Since he wasn't picked for today: I think that he'll still be a good T20 batsman: I just don't see him bowling much, if at all. He was off his best five years ago and could barely bowl then, i doubt that his condition has gotten any better with five years out the game...
