Vitality Blast

I actually think with the time off to recover and the physical training he did (when he did a bit of boxing) Flintoff is probably in pretty good shape physically. I can see him struggling with the rigours of the game though, i.e. bowling in the right areas and at good pace as well as facing bowlers that he won't have seen the likes of for 5 years.

Although saying that, it wouldn't surprise me if he never plays and Lancashire just use his name to sell a lot more tickets. :D

He might be able to bowl in T20s: just much more than four overs, I really can't see...

Oh yeah definitely. I don't think anyone here actually believes that Flintoff could make a comeback in the longer forms of the game.

Did anyone see that catch by Finch yesterday? But of course all the credit goes to Lyth for his diving save on the boundary.

Dan Christian scored a century against us yesterday but we still managed to win the game :D

Looking at the way the matches have gone, Hampshire and Kent seem to be the two teams to beat in the South Division. It makes me doubly glad Hampshire got the win against you last week. I expect that Kent and Hampshire will make it 1st & 2nd in the group for home quarterfinals.

I'm not too confident as I know Kent have a habit of throwing it away when in a good position but we'll see.

I'll be cheering on Lancashire as they are the closet team to me as there isn't a team from Cheshire, where I was born and have lived all of my life. Me and a couple of the family have got tickets to go and see Lancashire v Derby-shire in around 5 weeks time in a T20 match, tickets were ?10 if you book in advance and ?15 on the day if I remember correctly.

Anyone watching the Kent v Essex match? Great opening stand from Key & Bell-Drummond. Tymal Mills has been terrible what with all this talk of him playing for England in the near future.

I switched on, heard that Mills went for few in his first couple and then just come back to hear Nick Knight refer to him as the 'stand out bowler' in the match, despite Masters going at under 6 an over. Was he that good, or are Sky just high on the fact that he bowls quicker than most? He's never looked that impressive to me, but I haven't seen much of him.

He was terrible, bowled a number of no balls and wasn't even bowling quick. Masters bowled well as he was taking pace off the ball...terrible fielder though, dropped a couple of dollys.

EDIT: A wicket-maiden from Stevens! Great start :thumbs

Very good innings from Bopara, he won the game for Essex there.

Missed the Kent innings unfortunately so I can't comment on Mills. I was actually looking forward to seeing him bowl, he didn't play at the Aegis a couple of weeks back so missed him then as well!

It was an excellent knock by Bopara, a nice reminder of why he plays for England, and hopefully a nudge that he should probably bat higher for them!

Bopara is the perennial middle man in England at the moment. Far too good for County Cricket, but not quite good enough Internationally. A modern day Mark Ramprakash, just more limited overs than First Class based. :D

World cup actions has meant I have not payed attention to the T20 in recent weeks.

But i caught Jason Roy innings tonight & I see he has been doing some big things in recently. Commentators already talking about a Hales/Roy T20 opening partnership.

Bowling today wasn't the greatest, but Roy sure looks like a natural ball basher

I see Flintoff finally made his return for the Lancashire 1st XI. Apparently he bowled pretty well.
