Which ball do u use to play cricket with friends or in matches?
Also post witch pitch type u play one.

I play with Tennis, Tape Ball(taped up tennis ball) in my building or in parking lots(road, tiles) and Hard ball(red) when i was in my cricket camp(cement pitch)

i usualy play with hard ball but most of the times i play with tennis ball rapid around with the duck tap.

i use such thing as an incrediball, its red plastic with a soft inside and a stitched seam, it swings and seams like a real cricket ball but its soft, i use it in the practice nets at my club

y not spend like i believe $5 for a small roll of duck tape? Makes the game more challenging, trust me......

Yeah i use to play with the duck tape it cost around 1 dollar in usa dont know much about other countrie's but the ball swing's really good just like in international cricket.

Tennis Ball - standard equip for beach, backyard or park cricket. Bounces on anything, fun to hit. Do the tape up trick and it will swing too!
PVC "Incrediball" - only for when you lack pads and want to bowl fast, because although they are cheap, they are no where near as durable as a real ball and the lack of weight makes them less enjoyable to bowl.
Genuine Cricket Ball - the price might seem a bit much at first, but a good ball lasts a real long time. If you only bowl balls with a bit of shine, palm your old ball off to a spinner friend and make your cricket ball the gift that keeps on giving.

I use a tennis ball on the driveway with my brother, but we can't use ducktape or anything like that, because there are windows.
This is where we learnt to play cricket and where we still develop new deliverys, such as for me cutters and slower balls (I'm a seamer) and he learnt to bowl his googly.
We also have developed reasonable batting technique as we have to keep the ball on the ground or beg for our ball back from the neighbours.
But I think we're doomed to be tail-enders.

In matches we use 2-piece red balls, which sometimes have to last several matches. I don't mind too much because I don't swing the ball very much, and Jack loves it

believe me or not you learn alot for the tennis bowl specially when it is rapid around with the duck tape. That is the reason some international coache's use tennis ball for the practice.I dont know about other people but i have learned alot from the tennis ball
I also play with hard bowl some time's and i am really good at batting i always open the batting for my team and no hazitation for me while facing hard ball.

no one get me out on tape ball cricket, even on cricket ball, u all r losers. No one can play only knows how to speak .!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Rapid??????????
Anyway I can't bat for nuts unless i am sent as Nightwatchman(which is an wrong use of the term as I play in 2 day test matches- one day a team bats and the other the second chases) with the hardball. I bowl SLA, LBG, OFB, and RM/RMF, so i don't mind which ball I bowl with, but I prefer bowling pace hence tape ball.

ahhahaha look at you guyz, "what kind of ball do you play with?", what a joke, if any of you guys are real cricketers here you should be playing with 4 piece hard balls, tape ball just developes a pure bunch of sloggers, who r scared to let the ball hit them, they run away, close their eyes, n swing a bat..... common if you want to play real cricket play with the real thing, and yes i do play at club level and i have played for the canadian U15 team this year.

i am a fast bowling all rounder, middle order bat....sure the tape ball does help seammers and pacers... but its not realistic, i agreee the hard balls are expensive, but if you want something to use try the concrete balls, they are hard tho, cheaper than a leather ball, and they are genneraly more realistic ( doest swing and fly around liek the tape ball )

OK show off, everyone plays at different levels, and you happen to have played for the Canadian u15's, no need to make others feel 'little' is there? Did it occur to you that people who are say younger than you might not have the confidence to play with a hard ball, and alot of schools actually don't use hard balls, but incredibles (already mentioned). And before you I ask I do play for a club.
