Worst Test Team

We had a thread about Worst test players. All of them mentioned there should be in it. For India Ajit Agarkar.

You have won 1 Million for right answer...Spot on..you can't find better than him..:clap

I've ignored Bangladesh for obvious reasons. I have also included people who have played as recently as possible.

1. Andrew Strauss
2. Devon Smith
3. Matthew Bell
4. Runako Morton
5. Mubarak the destroyer.
6. Yuvraj Singh
7. Kamran Akmal (wk)
8. Harbhajan Singh
9. Daren Powell
10. Steve Harmison
11. Shoaib Akhtar

Well Why Strauss??
Because of his Recent performance??Because nobody is performing form top6 in current series..He has a still healthy average in tests..Not so high but at least you can't put him here::(..I love him..:p

Firstly, I was building off Simbazz who put Strauss there and secondly, because he averaged 28.80 in 2007 and 19.40 in 2008.

Just shows how good Ponting is.

Who else would score 7 International Centuries in the last year and still be considered to be struggling?

Good side, I'd probably go for Matthew Sinclair instead of Yuvraj though, Yuvraj is too good a player to be included in this side. Agree with the other choices though.

You won't believe this, but my brother just suggested that as I read this...

I'll change it.

Sinclair plays in allot weaker team though and probably has the 3rd highest average of any of them so play so many matches.

Yuvraj is the most overrated cricketer in International cricket.

I've not researched it but obviously Manee has, an average of 19.40 in 2008 and to still be in the Test team shows what a terrible shape the English selectors are.

I'd much rather have Vaughan, Cook, Bell, Pietersen, Collingwood, Shah, in that order. Shah has proved he can do it, and its time for him to be thrown a lifeline. Even if Shah plays three, ahead of Bell.

Matthew Sinclair averages 21 in Tests in the past 2 years with no hundreds or fifties, in 7 tests. Yuvraj doesn't average much better, 26, but he has a hundred under his belt at least. He averaged 85 against Pakistan but was dissapointing against Australia where he was massively lacking in form. Yuvraj is a far better player than Sinclair.

Strauss is only in his 3rd Test of 2008 so his average this year means sod all. He has shown in the past he is a very good batsman and it is the typical English attitude to want someone out as soon as they are in bad form.
