Indian Premier League - General Discussion

Quinny is set to miss initial games as he'll have to quarantine after leaving on 4th as mentioned by CSA. I see a probability of two scenarios, put Kishan to open with Rohit and play Neesham at 6 or let the middle order be stable and play Lynn as an opener.

Rohit
Kishan/Lynn
SK Yadav
Kishan/Neesham at 6 and others move up)
Pollard
H Pandya
K Pandya
Coulter-Nile
R Chahar
Boult
Bumrah

@Parth D @NilayShah60 @Ohm your views? Chawla ahead of Chahar or Milne ahead of NCN anyone?

I think NCN did decently well last year but he wasn't at his best. So I wouldn't mind if Milne gets a game. Having an outright pacer of slow surfaces of Chepauk can be an advantage.

Rohit (c)
Lynn
Ishan Kishan (wk)
SKY
Pollard
Hardik
Krunal
R Chahar
Boult
Bumrah
Milne

I think we can play Neesham and rest Krunal for our match in Bengaluru. While Milne would make way for Kulkarni to maintain the Overseas quota and not sacrifice on team balance. If Milne doesn't perform in early matches we can switch back to NCN. De Kock for Lynn would be obvious replacement once he returns to the squad. Also Chawla would be a back up for R Chahar.

Not gonna lie, that would be an entertaining batting lineup at the very least.

Rishabh Pant has been announced as captain. It has also been announced that Pant will act as fitness coach and wicketkeeping mentor, with special focus on maintaining professional weights and reducing fat, and sharing expertise on how to avoid dropping catches when keeping to spin. It is speculated that Pant will also learnedly review the concept of DRS with the ICC.

What the Josh? Hazlewood opts out of IPL

Guess Hardus Viljoen might be the replacement

Or Kesrick Williams. Big loss for the CSK. Lungi will join them after few matches. Hardus is always injury prone. I don't think, Flemmo will select him. Again, problems started for CSK. :facepalm

That is a huge blow to CSK. Viljoen will be an excellent replacement as Punjab never used him properly. He's a hit the deck and Yorker bowler and would do well at CSK but I can't help but feel that Hazlewood was the joker in the pack of overpaid quick bowlers. He's an underrated white ball bowler and with Dhoni he could have got the purple this year.

Some of the Aussies are playing with fire with these 'personal reasons' back outs. Mitchell Starc, Marsh and now this. Franchises don't mind paying the moolah but they like to pick banks at the auctions which is why seldom a WI player doing well at the auctions goes unsold. Your commitment to the IPL circus has to be more than even the international one simply because the money being doled out is bananas.

I felt you were banned for your illogical posting. :lol
