So apparently some fake news was spread about Moeen asking to remove a sponsor's logo because it’s an alcoholic drink, and he is now receiving abuse about his religion :facepalm
If he chooses to remove the logo and forgo any compensation from the sponsor, or even if he doesn’t, it’s his personal decision, how the hell does it affect you? People seriously need to get a life, social media has poisoned our collective brain.
Also, just found out that RCB are named after a beer brand, and honestly, not surprised :rolleyes

When FB came out, it revolutionized how we all stayed in contact. When I moved to States, the homesickness was reduced seeing friends and families enjoying and able to be part of their life through SM. However, things took a drastic turn. Cheaper internet, free access to SM and political parties ! These three things took away what was the true essence of SM. Add to the fact that the CEO's were sell outs. It is so easy to create political divide. One fake news, some dollars and boom!

I am really worried about the IPL. The number of cases is alarming. I know IPL is played behind closed doors and the decision now seems to hit a jackpot. I am really hoping we can have a month and half long IPL run smoothly as before. I have heard players will only travel in charter flights arranged by the franchise. So far 2 positive cases in Nitish Rana (recovered), Devdut Paddikal (recovering). I am more worried about the ground staff. They are not in any bubble, they will come and go. They also dont have the luxuries of players of having unlimited facilities. Fingers crossed.

Quinny is set to miss initial games as he'll have to quarantine after leaving on 4th as mentioned by CSA. I see a probability of two scenarios, put Kishan to open with Rohit and play Neesham at 6 or let the middle order be stable and play Lynn as an opener.

Rohit
Kishan/Lynn
SK Yadav
Kishan/Neesham at 6 and others move up)
Pollard
H Pandya
K Pandya
Coulter-Nile
R Chahar
Boult
Bumrah

@Parth D @NilayShah60 @Ohm your views? Chawla ahead of Chahar or Milne ahead of NCN anyone?
Let Lynn play as an opener (he'll have a few games for himself in MI colors). Also last year Kishan was proved to be a rock solid option in the middle order, let's not mess that up! We already have two medium pace all rounders in the lineup, don't really need Neesham at this point.

PS. No Chawla ahead of Chahar and no Milne ahead of NCN either.

It baffles me and is outright disgusting they are having the IPL with an upsurge in Covid 19 cases. It should be cancelled or perhaps moved elsewhere, perhaps NZ where cases are lower or Australia.

How will Rishabh Pant do?
The slogger will slog as usual. But I don't expect him to do well. In T20 cricket, you need timing, a classical technique and a fearless intent which someone like Sanju has. Pant can slog but he is not fearless, or he is unable to accelerate the rate from the first ball. Sanju has more skill and range so you will see him regularly get to starts like 25*(12). Whereas with Pant, he always start slowly with a lot of dot balls.

Hopefully this IPL we see the end of Jasprit Bumrah being rated as a good bowler. I always thought he is overrated. Simply relies on pace, unlike someone like Bhuvi, Cummins or Archer, who are metronomic control bowlers with extra bounce. All Bumrah does is the yorker, even that he messes up sometimes.

Mohammed Siraj is in incredible form. He always had the skill, now he has the belief that he is India's best bowler. Hope Kohli backs him and doesn't drop him for big WC matches due to Bumrah-fetish (I empathise with Shami for WC2019).

When we will see when Sanju or any other Indian keeper scores test 100s in England or Australia overseas or even comes close to win India a game at the Gabba.

Here's a pattern of Sanju Samson for you:

He scores and looks a good in first few matches of the IPL and then end up hardly scoring any in the remaining.

That pretty much sums up his career - consistently inconsistent.

He might look a million dollar when get going but needs consistent scoring to prove his mettle.
