Paul Collingwood caught in lap dancing bar

I agree with Dikon here, he said he left as soon as he saw what it was, he had one drink, so yep it is, storm in a teacup.

As much as i like a good handbag arguement, give it a rest Usy n Matt :p Its offtopic and no need. I know Usy may feel Pakistan have been hard done to, but they rarely have.

To be honest I have actually read much criticising Collingwood, i'll wait for the morning papers untill I rampage about the media.
I've read the odd 'I'm on my high horse and I say it's irresponsible' but not an explosion just yet.

Its been blown way out of proportion because, it's a strip club. Colly's a bit unfortunate really. However, I do think he was rather ill-advised to go to somewhere like that in the wake of Fred at the World Cup.

Obviously it's not that bad but on the eve of a game is just stupidity. If he fancied a drink then he could have just had a quick one in the hotel bar, then gone and looked at some porn on his laptop. That way he can have a proper drink the night after the game and no-ones overly fussed although it would still be a little untactful

Considering I read this...

"Paul Collingwood is proving to be a very good tosser."
Jonathan Agnew reporting before England v South Africa on Sunday. (Janiv Patel, England).

just before I heard about Colly going into a Lap dancing club I found it quite amusing.

Do you think he needed a runner? ;)

What's wrong with this? One of our candidates for Prime Minister this year went to a strip club in 2004, yet people applauded him.

It's as much about the fact that he's married and went to a strip club as the fact that it was the night before a game.

It's just the gutter press (and some that should know better) trying to set the moral tone again.
