Bring back Mohammad Sami

Mohd Sami is whole hearted cricketer but as you can see from the first test result, he like AGarkar lacks consistency in bowling line and length. He will give batsmen loose balls every over to release the pressure. In test matches you need tight spells to put pressure on opposition.

Sami used to be really good. In fact Akhtar+Sami used to be a dangerous prospect. Now it just seems Akhtar builds up pressure and Sami releases it. I would have liked to see Akhtar+Asif+Gul in action as that would be a pretty decent line-up. Perhaps if Sami gets his act together you can get rid of Danish and have Shoaib/Afridi bowl spin since Kaneria seems to have forgotten how to outthink batsmen.

na Sami doesnt cut it anymore as a test bowler, he ahs been given plenty of chances he has played over 20 tests and has a average of 50 and a strike rate of 80+ time to give somebody else a chance. use him in ODIs hes still good in that for of the game.

I posted few days ago that he will have no effect on indian batting. He was a flop show.Pak should play another spinner instead of him.

lol true.. Damn I knew he was a good ODI bowler.

I can't beleive anybody would seriously want Mohammad Sami in the Pakistan Test side. He has to be one of the worst specialist bowlers ever to play as many games as he has. He wouldn't and shouldn't make the full strength ODI side either and his record is made to look much better due to his performances against the minnow nations.

Another player to add to the list of players you'd have thought would have made it big on the international scene but didn't for one reason or another.

I remember seeing him at Kent a few seasons back (2003???), he played a pretty large part in keeping us in Div1 that season and showed great promise, but like I said, has never really delivered on those promises.

I will completely agree with kev, wasted talent?

Wasted talent?

Yes, he was good in 2003, when he came on the scene.

But you make your own luck in this game, and Sami hasn't done that. Yes, there will always be those who say Sami is the unluckiest bowler (Umpires, catches, etc.)

But still. Average over 48 (probably over 50 now).

Its time to end this drama. Sami is as pathetic a bowler as you will ever see in world cricket. He has talent, but he hasn't utilized it properly.
