Whoo Yeah! that's Lala for you! Looks like playing pure bowlers rather than bowling all rounders was a great idea. Sarfraz Ahmed Jr was brilliant with the bowl though so everyone was; everyone gave Lala a big hand and I'm sure that without them Lala would have faced difficulties. Batting was superb though, Fawad Khan and Azeem gave us a great start; coming in late, Sarfraz hit four boundaries but, got off real quick - sad he couldn't do well; Azhar and Alam - the experienced played their part and it eventually won us the match. Just look at the strike-rates! Overall; it was the team work which won it again for us. Man I'm loving this team.

Dwayne Bravo played his first game of the tournament against FATA Falcons where he scored 82 off 78 balls including 6 fours and four sixes, later in the game, he picked up a couple of wickets at an economy of 3.83. He was awarded with the man of the match award for his performance. Punjab Lions, eventually won the game by 35 runs. Punjab currently stands at No.5 spot and FATA, stands at No.6 in the league standings table. Both the teams have played four games, won two and lost two. The only thing differentiating them is the Net Run Rate.
KPK PANTHER'S TOP ORDER FAILS, YET AGAIN
The 14th game of this season's Haier Cup was played between Balochistan Bears & Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Panthers at the Arbab Niaz Stadium, Peshawar. Balochistan won the toss and elected to bat first, the team failed to play out the overs. Contributions coming from Ahmed Shehzad, James Taylor, Jacques Kallis and Umar Akmal saved them from a total collapse. Others were unable to get to the double figures, resulting in a low total from the Bears. They ended up with 193/10. Sohail Tanvir & Zohaib Khan picked a couple of wickets each and Raza Hasan picked up 3 wickets. KPK Panthers started their chase with yet again, their openers disappointing, however, a partnership between Younis Khan & Mohammad Rizwan got the panthers going, and then small contributions from the bottom sealed the deal for them. Rizwan was awarded the man of the match award for his brilliant knock of 71 runs from 111 deliveries. Atif Jabbar picked a couple of wickets. KPK Panthers stand at the 7th spot, and Balochistan stands at the 3rd spot in the Haier Cup Pakistan II standings.
Game 15 of the tournament was played between, Sindh Dolphins and Rest of Pakistan Rams at the National Stadium, Karachi. Rams won the toss and elected to bat first, they were bowled out for 189 in 35.4 overs. Rams had a pretty shaky looking scorecard with Kamran Akmal getting 97 and Azhar Mahmood getting 41, and everyone else failing down miserably. The Rams had 3 batsmen out for ducks in their scorecard, the Captain of Sindh, Shahid Afridi lead from the front in his comeback game and got 3 crucial wickets at an economy 3.35. Sindh chased the total down comfortably with Azhar Ali & Fawad Alam starring in the chase, both of them got fifties at a strike rate of more then a hundred. Both the teams stand at the No.1 & No.2 spot in the Haier Cup Pakistan II standings, respectively.

Another league fixture was played at the Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad between Gilgit Baltistan Jaguars & Combined Services Cheetahs. The home team won the toss and elected to bowl first, and it ended up being a disastrous decision because the Cheetahs got to a total of 355 in their 50 over, courtesy a blistering partnership between Sohaib Maqsood & Mushfiqur Rahim of 147 runs from just 82 balls. The Jaguars were only able to get to a total of 245 for the loss of 8 wickets in their 50 overs. Rana Naved-Ul-Hasan picked up three wickets and the Cheetahs were victorious by a 110 runs. Mushfiqur Rahim was awarded the man of the match award for his blistering 75 off just 41 balls.
