Pakistan in trouble yet again!

Pakistan were once again in trouble, because of some great bowling by the Zimbabwean bowlers. The captain was first to go after the openers. Shoaib Malik and Younis Khan played slow and stayed at the wicket for 4 overs but only managed to get 9 runs. Shoaib Malik was soon caught at Gully for 3 off 14 balls. He was the 3rd player in this inning to get out after playing 14 balls(1st 2 were the openers)

Mohammed Yousuf was the next man in. Yousuf also started off slow, taking a couple of singles and then smashed a huge six in an attempt to break the dead lock of slow flowing runs.

When Yousuf got the six, he brought some hope of quick flowing runs for Pakistan, but was hit on the head by a nasty bouncer by Mpofu. He was caught by Chibhabha on the very next ball in an attempt to go for a cover drive.

Misbah-ul-Haq was the next man in. The Pakistani fans were all down to their seats after the loss of Yousuf as they saw a huge collapse in the last match.

Pakistan scorecard:
Imran Nazir c Mufambisi b Mpofu 24(14)
Shahid Afridi LBW b Mpofu 32(14)
Shoaib Malik* c Duffin b Mpofu 3(14)
Younis Khan not out 10(29)
Mohammed Yousuf c Chibhabha b Mpofu 9(17)
Misbah-ul-Haq not out 3(2)

Now its time for some reps...

Pakistan in trouble again. Zimbabwe are doing well with their bowling in this season. Yousuf got a nasty one before going back to the pavilion. Pakistan need a big partnership at this stage.

Pakistan sink into deeper trouble

Misbah-ul-Haq and Younis Khan brought some hope to the Pakistani pavilion and the fans. Misbah smashed a couple of fours. One was a brilliant late cut and the other one was a smack through the offside.

But when Misbah looked good, he was clean bowled by Maruma for 15 off 21. All the fans were down on their seats, and all the Zimbabwe fans were on their feat after this wicket.

Fawad Alam was in next. Soon after the wicket of Misbah-ul-Haq, Younis Khan went for a classical cover drive which went for a four.

Younis Khan became a victim of Maruma when he finally lost his patience and tried to go over the top but was caught by Chibhabha.

Kamran Akmal was in next, but didn't stay for long. He was caught behind by Mufambisi off Cremer

Not looking good for Pakistan at the moment. Mpofu has been hero for Zims. This could go down as upset if Zims maintain same intensity.

Very nice presentation. Im copying your style of presentation for my story but it just happens that you are master and im just a kid.

Young Fawad must keep his patience and Shoaib must play a vital role in supporting Fawad. This truely has been a poor batting display by Pakistan once again.

On a high note...great works Rameez. Keep it up. :clap

Young Fawad Shines for Pakistan

Fawad Alam, the young star, shined for Pakistan and got them out of some deep trouble. Pakistan at some stage were 119 for 7 wickets down. Fawad Alam and Shoaib Akhtar kept taking easy singles and doubles, and got Pakistan to a good position. The 2 players took no risk and got a good score on the board for Pakistan. Fawad Alam got to his 50 off just 62 balls.

fawad50.jpg

Fawad Alam and Shoaib Akhtar got their partnership to 50 and still continued to bat well. Fawad Alam played an elegant stroke for 4 to the 3rd Man boundary.

fawad4.jpg

Shoaib Akhtar finally lost his wicket on a bad shot.

shoaibwicket.jpg

Fawad Alam finally lost his cool and came down the ground to smash a huge six over the bowlers head.

Fawad Alam was caught by Williams and the last man to go was Umar Gul.
