Poland set to make international debut!

​

The Polish board has been in what have been described as "fantastic negotiations" with two also relatively newer cricket boards in Wales and Israel. The series with Wales has been confirmed to be 2 ODI's and 1 Test Match, all being played within Poland! Chorzow will host our nations first ever international match, followed by the 2nd ODI being played in the nations capital. Following our series against Wales we will than travel to Israel for our first away tour. A 3 match ODI series was agreed upon between the boards, and will surely be an exciting moment for both nations in their cricketing aspirations.

The Squad for both tours has been announced, with Gustaw Walter being confirmed as the nations first ever international cricket captain.

Gustaw Walter said,

"It is an amazing honour to finally be able to represent my nation in this fantastic sport. I thought this time would never come during my playing career, and wow, I just can't wait to get into it."​

​

Young opening batsmen Jonasz Kamil has been announced as the vice captain for both tours.

Gustaw Walter said,

"Jonasz Kamil is a wonderful player, I definitely see him becoming one of the catalysts that launch Poland into a bright future. It's another showing of how deep this cricketing disease has infected many regions and age groups in Poland. To run out to play with someone 16 years my junior, yeh it will be pretty special."​
