Big risk in Ravi playing. Hopefully he'll do better than he did in Sri Lanka.

Great update mate and I can't wait for this match to start :)

Sreesanth called up from India

THIRD NPOWER TEST MATCH, The Brit Oval

Sreesanth has been called in from India to play in tomorrow's third and final
npower test at The Brit Oval. Sreesanth was not listed in the 13 man squad
for this 3 test series, but has had to fly in from India because of injury to
RP Singh. RP Singh has strained his calf and is out alongside Anil Kumble,
who broke his finger on day one of the 2nd test. Harbhajan Singh will be
Kumble's replacement, but he will not have to go anywhere to join up with
the squad as he is currently playing at The Brit Oval for Surrey. Indian selectors
left Singh out of the 13 man test squad but have had to call upon his experience
to replace Kumble as the main spinner. After their convincing 7 wicket win
there has, to no surprise, not been any changes to the batting line-up.

India Test Squad for Final Test: R.Dravid (c), MS.Dhoni (wk), S.Ganguly,
W.Jaffer, Z.Khan, D.Karthik, I.Pathan, V.Sehwag, H.Singh, S.Sreesanth, S.Tendulkar

Sreesanth should get some bounce off the pitch at The Oval. Let's hope it bounces at a nice height for the batsmen though so England win! A series victory at home to India would be a big achievement.

Sreesanth back in the side is an added advantage for India. If he only concentrates on his bowling then it will create few headaches for England.

Awesome work as always mate :cheers

If Sreesanth can focus on the match itself, then it will be a bonus for India.

Great presentation Treva. Keep up the great works!

England can win it, even though India have an incredibly powerful team.

As many have said above me, as long as Sreesanth can focus on the actual match, then you should have some trouble coming your way. If not, then the danger decreases.

If Sreesanth can try doing the basics alone right, it will be alright. It's better than trying to overdo the things which Sree often does. :p Lets see what happens here that too without Jumbo! :)

'The Wall' is the only thing left standing for India

dayoneupdateut3.jpg

It was soon 25 for 3, Karthik going for just 15 to Ryan Sidebottom, Vaughan
taking a great catch to his left at silly mid-off. But than came Sachin Tendulkar
to the crease. In need of some runs 'The Little Master' set about the repair
job with his captain Rahul Dravid. Dravid and Tendulkar both moved on to
scores of 20* and 25* at lunch respectively.

They put on 65 more together after the break, Tendulkar reaching his fifty
from 141 balls. But 3 balls later he was gone, another victim of Sidebottom,
plumb LBW to a ball that did enough to straighten up. Sourav Ganguly came
and went for a brisk 11 from 20 balls, Sidebottom cleaning him up just before
tea.

Dravid continued his slow progress after the tea break, and moved onto fifty
with particular ease. For some reason the other batsmen just couldn't make
use of the good batting track like their skipper, and it was wicketkeeper
MS.Dhoni who was dismissed for just 5 by Ryan Sidebottom early in the 3rd
session. Dravid and Pathan then added 53 for the 7th wicket, Pathan hitting
2 fours and a six on his way to 38. But again just as things looked to be
turning another wicket fell. Pathan found Collingwood at 2nd slip, for a simple
catch and to leave India in the precarious position of 208/7.

Dravid then decided it was time he played some shots, hitting some fine
strokes off Panesar in particular. Panesar thought he had his man in the last
over of the day, but umpire Ian Howell was unmoved after a big shout from
all the England fielders. India closed the day on 228/7, with a lot of work to do,
in particular from Rahul Dravid. England will definitely be happy with how the
day went, and will be well on top if they can finish India off early on day two.
