Well I have actually realised that I most likely will not have the update ready tonight. But I will try and get it done tomorrow for sure :)

India heavily on top at Trent Bridge

dayoneupdateaf7.jpg

The top order slide continued as inspired captaincy from Dravid gave India
the priceless wicket of Kevin Pietersen for just 11. Sachin Tendulkar was
introduced early with the ball still hard and managed to find a bit of turn and
bounce. Preferred to Anil Kumble who seems to be suffering with a wrist
injury, Tendulkar got one to spit up at Pietersen who could only get a thin
touch behind to MS Dhoni.

Pathan got England captain Michael Vaughan for 23 who pushed at a
swinging delivery and managed to edge it straight to Sehwag at gully.
England at this stage 53/4.

England's middle order then brought back some calmness to the innings
firstly Collingwood and Bell and then Prior and Bell. Collingwood went for
28, Pathan's 2nd victim, getting a snick on a back of a length delivery
through to MS Dhoni.

Bell also made a start but failed to go on, scoring 27 before Anil Kumble
bowled him in his 1st over.

Prior continued to make solid progress as others fell around him, and when
Plunkett fell to a Pathan in swinger, he was England's only hope of getting
them up to a respectable total.

Prior found a partner in Ryan Sidebottom, and managed to bring up his 50
in 72 balls, including 5 fours. A very hard earned half century which gave
England a slimmer of hope at making near 250 and 300.

But once the England wicket keeper was dismissed by a Tendulkar straight
ball, you sensed that the innings was nearly over. Monty Panesar and
James Anderson were both dismissed by Pathan yorkers as Sidebottom
was left stranded on 17* from a might 76 balls.

India had just 3 overs to survive before the umpires called the end of
day's play, and they did it superbly. Hitting 8 runs off Anderson's first
over and both Sehwag and Jaffer hitting some crisp boundaries.

England have a lot of work to do in the field tomorrow if they wish to get
back into this 2nd npower test match at Trent Bridge.

Poor batting display by England and nice start by the Indian openers. I especially like the way you are now presenting this and look forward to the screenies and scorecards :)

Here's an animation of two screenies from the morning session. The moving up thing I have decided will take to long so for the other sessions it will just be merging together like it does at the end of this animation :)

Will take a while to load as it is 908KB in size (That's another problem with moving the frame up every slide)

More screenies to come today as well as the end of play scorecard...
