SHOCKING START FOR INDIA

Indians went to bat with Sehwag and Jaffer as openers. Sehwag was at the non strikers end and Jaffer faced the new ball.

At Very first over, Lawson striked with Jaffer's wicket. Lawson bowled a beautiful inswing and Jaffer was completly decieved by that and was clean bowled.

The ball just managed to take the bails off.... Jaffer returned to pavilion with a big round Zero for his name and with a great disappointment.

Indian Skipper RahulDravid, the Wall Of India arrives at the crease and joins Sehwag. Its a great start for Windies. Dravid has become a virtual opener now. A lot of work to do for Indians to get a good score in this match. Its a great comeback for Lawson into the team. He produced a wicket in his very first over.

SOME STEADY INNINGS

India after loosing a quick wicket in very first over of their innings, are playing at a steady rate.

Skipper Dravid and Sehwag are batting without any risky shots. They are waiting for the bad ball to come and punish them. The bowlers are moving the ball very nicely and mixing the line and length well.

Sehwag who seems to be an aggressive player becos of being not in form, he is batting even slower than Dravid.

Dravid : 28*

LUNCH -- INDIA IN GOOD POSITION!!!!

Sehwag and Dravid found themselves well settled at the crease and played some cracking shots!!!!

Both the players have no problem in rotating the strike and punishing the bad deliveries. Only Lawson seems to be impressive.

Lara making a suprise move of bringing Gayle as a third bowler. He bowled superb first over to Sehwag. But in the second over he was smashed to two boundaries. Lara then making a good bowling change by bringing Bravo in!!! But it doesnt affect the batsmen's patience. Also D.Powell was brought in to bowl. Inspite of the different bowling changes, Indian batsmen just have one thing in their mind," Leave the good deliveries and punish the bad deliveries".

Indian skipper provide a great support and encouragement to Sehwag!!! So both of them are well settled in the middle. Lara is just keep on twisting his brain to decide the next move to break this pair.

Indian Team is in good position at Lunch.

FOURTH UMPIRE(LUNCH,Day 1)
( With Ravi Shastri and Ian Bishop)

R.S : It has been a nice day for cricket so for. Lets begin our discussion with the toss.India won the toss and decided to bat first. Well Bishop, what do think with this decision?

I.B : well Ravi, its no suprise that india has decided to bat... becos the pitch is an excellent wicket to play a good cricket.
We have played many matches here... its tough choice to predict the nature of the pitch!!! but overall, a good wicket to play.

R.S : Also, The most impressive at the start was "THE RETURN OF LAWSON"!!! He returned to the team after a long time. But the way he started here was impressive.... Lets look at the screenie about Lawson's impressive spell!!!

IMPRESSIVE LAWSON

I.B : : Yep, Lawson was the most impressive of all. he bolwed 8-2-29-1!!! Though he gave away 29 runs he threatened the batsmen with bouncers and other good deliveries.

In the second picture, we can see a perfect inswing that made the ball to go in the gap between pad and bat and made Jaffer to return to the pavillion as he was clean bolwed. That was the beautiful inswing delivery!!!

Also in the first screenie, you can find the way he bowled his second over to Sehwag. That was an impressive maiden over!!! Sehwag who was struggling in form was really tested today. Sehwag was hit in the helmet twice by Lawson!!! It was a great over!!!

R.S : So that was a beautiful comeback by Lawson. But after Lawson's initial break through, Indian Skipper arrived and totally took the control from Windies!!! He just followed the simple thing of punishing the bad deliveries. He encouraged Sehwag and supported him.
Lets look at the spider of both these batsmen,

Its clearly visible from the graph that Dravid was comfortable than Sehwag.

I.B : Yes Ravi, Dravid as soon as he arrived started rotating the strike. I can tel u the rotation of the strike is important in cricket. That made Windies bolwers to be less effective in later part of the innings. Sehwag struggled at first but then at the last minutes before the lunch session he smashed two boundaries.... Tht looks like he will continue the good form after lunch.

R.S : So its going to be intereting wht happens next after lunch session.

From Indians view, they have to continue the good form to get a competitive total.
From Windies view, Lot of work for the bowlers..They need to take wickets at regular interval... Especially Dravid's wicket is an valuable one... Also its going to be interesting to see how Lawson bowls his second spell....

THE MATCH STARTS AFTER LUNCH

Guess, Indians must have had a good lunch in the dressing room. They are in good position!!!

Well, After Lunch, the players and umpires have come out for the start of the next session!!! There is going to be a real contest between the bat and the ball!!! The players are waiting for the umpires to say "Start".

WAITING FOR THE START OF NEXT SESSION

Meanwhile, There is a serious discussion between Dravid and Sehwag!!! Dravid explaing the strategies clearly to Sehwag... Thts the role of the skipper!!!
Also Windies keeper providing the encouragement from behind the stumps!!! He is cheering the fielders!!!!
So everything set ready now for the start of the next session... just waiting for the one word from umpire,"go"!!!

Gayle is ready with the ball to start the after lunch session!!!!
