West Indies to field full-strength team
Contractual disputes among West Indian first team cricketers appear to be resolved, with players such as Chris Gayle to return for the NatWest Tri-Series against England and South Africa. Gayle, along with several other high profile players such as Dwayne Bravo and Ramnaresh Sarwan flew out of the Caribbean in preparation for the tour.
Before boarding their plane, Chris Gayle fronted the media to say a few words regarding the upcoming series. "Everyone is ready to go and we're really excited for the series," Gayle said.
"South Africa and England are both tough opponents, we are going to have to be at playing at one hundred percent to win. England will want to play well after their performance against the Australians and South Africa haven't played any top level cricket for a while. We think we are going to really challenge the best teams in the world and this is a great starting point for us."
After their second-string team was defeated by Bangladesh, the West Indies will be keen to win. They face a tough challenge in the world beaters South Africa and a hurting England, coming off a 6-1 drubbing at the hands of the Australians.
