So guys, what are you predicitons for the six nations, and how you think teams will perform - this thread will be complete with match summaries and comments etc.

2006 FIXTURES:
IRELAND 26 - 16 ITALY
ENGLAND 47 - 13 WALES
SCOTLAND 20 - 16 FRANCE
FRANCE 43 - 31 IRELAND
ITALY 16 - 31 ENGLAND (not a fair reflection on the match that was really 16-24)
WALES v SCOTLAND

England and France are the two big teams - not very original maybe, but I think it'll come down to them. My predictions, in order:

France
England
Ireland
Wales
Scotland
Italy

HALF TIME REPORT: Ireland V Italy @ Lansdowne Road:
IRELAND 10
ITALY 10

In a half which was dominated by Italy, we finally see that the Italians can challenge a big team! This is great entertainment before the big match later on, which will be very close.

FULL TIME REPORT:

In the end the Italians couldn't grasp a famous victory - but they should take full confidence into next weeks match. Ireland will need to work very hard to have a hope against the French next week.

IRELAND 26
ITALY 16

HALF TIME REPORT: England V Wales @ Twickenham:
ENGLAND 15
WALES 10

A half which featured alot of mistakes and running rugby, England edged it. This is turning into a great match also.

He can't help it, the Aussies don't like not having something other countries have, in this case it's winners! ;)

better not mention the ashes... last time i did i was threatened with a ban :(

Well todays results were pretty predictable, and tomorrows will be too. The only match thats difficult to predict is England v France.

I agree with freddiefan

Its basically
France/England > France/England > Ireland > Wales > Scotland > Italy

Last year just broke the trend

i think you should be more sportsmanship aussie1st.

The thing is Wales are missing only 2 centres from last years 6 nations winning side. Last year they beat England 11-9 this year they get thrashed 47-13. Clearly Wales win last year was due to the top 2 sides rebuilding. Wales have once again fallen back into the heap.
