Liverpool were the brighter of the teams when the game started ..arsenal seemed to be a bit ragged in defence giving away the ball cheaply on many occasion
Rafa had made a decision to leave out Xabi Alono and give way to Mascherano and it worked wonders as Fabregas couldnt find any space to move as he was closely guarded by Mascherano..
Huntelaar and Torres were proving to be a very excellent combination
while Huntelaar engaged himself in the flicks and turns ...Torres took liberty to run all around the arsenal defence
Arsenal got off to the worst possible start when ryan babel out of nowhere took a dip into the penalty area and slotted home the goal...

Arsenal got going when Flamini started to find his feet ..the defencive midfielder donned the creative role and started making beautiful passes
but none paid dividence
After 25 minutes Arsenal looked in control of the game ...but against the run of play Ryan Babel produced of the best goals ...he ran from his own half and dribbled past toure to slide the ball past the approaching Lehmann..

After the half time interval , things looked different ..liverpool werent attacking that much and were intent on keeping possession and arsenal went for continous attacks...the liverpool defence was looking impressive with their tackles...fabregas still had no answer for Mascherano who was on the top of the game
