A query on reserve players

I have a query about how the reserve players work. The 1st Ashes test was the first time I've played Fantasy Cricket on here, and it turned out to be a pretty successful first time (Came 11th out of 70 odd). But one of my players, Stuart Clark, didn't play. I expected one of my reserve bowlers to pick up points instead (Brett Lee was 1st reserve and Siddle 2nd). Seeing as Lee didn't play surely Siddle should've given me some points. But no, I end up having Clark's 0 count in my score rather than any points Siddle would've picked up.

So my question is, how do reserve players work and why didn't I get any points from Siddle instead of Clark?

Well I think the idea is that you have to swap reserve players in based on team news before the match actually starts.
If I remember though there was a bug and it didn't work. Not sure if it has been fixed.

The reserve feature has never worked. Completely ignore it.
