Good presentation there. But is this a league or story? Or a story based league?

The ICC Associate Cricket League starts off with a match worth its build up. Its the upcoming heavy weight Irish taking on the Netherlands team.
The build up and the practice have been perfect, Irish were seen practicing for this season of Associate League from couple of weeks and on the other side player like Ryan Ten Doeschate have had a good IPL and others practicing well for this league.

MATCH NO : 1
VENUE: Eden Park
UMPIRES: Asoka de Silva and Aleem Dar

Welcome one and all for the 1st match of this ACL. This tournament is very important from all the teams point of view, winning this tournament for 3 times in 4 years will lead to the qualifications for the World Cup and that is what all team is looking for to. Both teams have match winners in their side with Ireland bowling is dependent on Johnston and batting on the O'Brien brothers. From Dutch's point of view, Ryan Ten Doeschate is an important player who likes to play well in big games like this. Dutch's bowling will be successfully lead by Peter Boren who is an experienced player.

Ireland Have Won The Toss & Elected To Bat First

So it's Ireland who will be batting first on this tough but good looking pitch. Best Of Luck to both the teams and may the best team win.

Ireland - 233 / 8 in 50 overs
RPO: 4.66

Ireland 233 with the loss of 8 wickets at the end of 50 overs, its just a mediocre total and must admit there were some careless shots that were played. A total of 260 would have been good but if Irish boys bowl well and stick to one line and length this could be a total that could be defended well.

Ireland lost their first wicket on 38 runs and from then they were not been able to build good partnerships. 20's and 30's what they got. The highest partnership and the most important partnership of the Irish came down the order from Alex Cussack & J Mooney. They scored pretty well and added 48 runs of just 58 deliveries. Botha and Mooney too build a decent partnership of 55 runs and Ireland got 2 back to back good partnerships. Peter Borren the captain of Dutch lead the side perfectly by taking 3 wickets and just giving 38 runs in 10 overs. Mooney's innings or Borrens Bowling? What will be the crucial factor in this game? Stay tuned for the 2nd innings.
