Afl 2008

I think it could be spelt Porplyzia though I am unsure :o

Porplyzia going down was a blow early, I agree, I also think we managed to finally get a good match up for Burton as Maxwell was being beaten, and was getting a bit agro there. Medhurst is in some fine form, also I think having Anthony as a forward and not a back could be good for us in the long run, with Reid coming back and the likely retirement of Rocca could have Cloke moved to where Rocca usually is.

The game would have come close in the end if Burton was out there, after the first quarter I expected them to belt us but those 5 goals going into half time saved us....as well as many Crow misses.

The umpire had some shocking decisions the mark to Anthony was not a mark, but he also had a mark missed, so I guess that evened that up....Medhurst clesaly threw the ball in maybe the 3rd quarter, Harry threw the ball as well...the free to Burton where he was judged to have been pushed against Maxwell was a bad one...but other then that the frees that we copped for 'in the back' were all there.

I am glad to have a win, even though we a couple of quarters we were looking like we were not going to win.

The Majestic added 2 Minutes and 47 Seconds later...

And we have a pretty good month ahead : Richmond, Collingwood, West Coast and Melbourne. Possible 4 wins there.
I dare say they'd win at least 3, the Collingwood game like all the Collingwood/Essendon games can go either way. Though Richmond might surprise I do not expect the Eagles or Demons to get up...Though I did not expect the Demons to beat the Lions last round....

I'd give the Bombers at least 2 out of 4, there are 2 games there that could go either way, as the Tigers, and Pies are unpredictable at times. I'm not ready to say Collingwood are going to beat them.

We are going to need to start better against the Roos next week.

I dont think the Crows season is over. Porplyzia will probably miss a couple of weeks. But the loss of Burton is a huge one. Gunna be out for the remainder of the season and most likely next season.
It might be a good thing, bring in James Sellar, or play either Maric or Griffin as one of the main full forwards. Kurt Tippett is struggling being the main target in the forward line, so it may be time for a Sellar or a Walker to come into the side and have a run.

I beleive the Eagles are tanking to get the first draft pick. I mean we were going well until after quarter time when we "suddenly" started playing crap and richmond kicked 11 goals.

PLEASE GOD
there is no reason imo that walker shouldnt play next week. hes got more natural talent in his pinky than the rest of the forward line!

Hahah so true. McGregor and Jericho might be given more of a chance in the forward line now both Burton and Porplyzia are injured. Just wish we'd give the youngsters more of a go like Maric, Sellar, Walker.

yeah fair enough jericho to come in, theres nobody else lol. Bringing back Mcgregor would be a serious backwards step. I just dont see the point in playing somebody like mcgregor when walker offers just as much at the moment, and obviously HEAPS more for the future.

love your DP by the way. thats my future hubby!

Haha McLeod is a champion. What are the odds of Scott Stevens playing down forward. I have always seen him as a forward, so why not break the ice and try some different things. Put Johncock up forward aswell.. Come on Craigy, it's time to start taking a few risks and mix things around.

Yeah, if Stevens is ever going to play forward it would probs be this week cause port dont really have the tallest forward line. and at least if he plays forward some of his kicks to nowhere wouldnt matter as much. I dont really care except i dont really want the future AA half back, Nathan Bock to play forward.

Vs collingwood i though craigy was alright at mixing it around, he tried alot of different options up forward and even thought they didnt really work, at least it shows hes up for expiramenting.

Big win for the roos.... Taking out those pies.. damn 1 tip down:(.. They where very poor all night i thought collingwood where. Roos to quick IMO

2 big games on today. Richmond and Essendon playing for their season.
