I could go threw and list every side and their young guns and 95% will be better than Freos. Im just saying with the side they have they simply cant compete for a flag. I dont get why most 'experts' keep picking them as top 4 as every year its a let down. They need to get rid of all the oldies and have been players and do what Hawthorn did and draft the talent themselves if they want a realistic chance for the premiership.

Plus it should be easier for teams such as West Coast and Fremantle to recruit gun players as they have the whole state for themselves to scout in detail for the following draft

The rest of them trades have been very useful for us.

Yes we have an oldish list an some should not be there thats not why their losing though.
Its lack of skills heart an too many of the same type of player in the midfield.

Palmer is by far the best rookie this year
Mayne is pure class a clone of Daisy thomas from collingwood.
Ibbotsom is fast an has great skills
Hinkley pretty much the same but too skinny an not ready for AFL
Warnock very talented young ruckman Kruezer prob slightly better.
Then theres 3 other young guys that i havent seen play but are going great in the WAFL an arent far off getting a game with freo.

So even though we havent got as many young kids as i would like the ones we have are all showing great signs.

Well i got blasted at the beginning of the year when i said i dont thing Collingwood will make top4 and barely scrap into the 8. I still think there a tad over-rated. They cant even beat Carlton ffs. I just love watching Collingwood fail. For example, on the weekend i got so into barracking for North that it actually did feel like i was cheering on my own team. Just to see Eddies face at the end was so, so so soooo worth it. Greatest memories was watching their supporters when they lost back to back grand finals, fark em'

Yeh i couldn't agree more. Sheedy never really gave the young kids a go so our team aged. Now Knights is giving all the kids a run which is better, but won't bring succes anytime soon. We need another ruckman, Hille is awesome, but Laycock is farken crap. And then all our experienced big men are ageing. Lucas, Lloyd, Fletcher and Micheal. So thats basically our entire spine.

We are farked.
