AUSTRALIA FLOGG SRI LANKA

Australia has really flogged sri lanka. They bowled sri lanka out for 88 off 18.3 overs. The Best of the Bowlers were Symonds 3-27, Hogg 3-9, McGrath 2-18, Ponting 1-1 and Bichel 1-21.

We are very happy to continue this victory. I was pleased with my century and first ICC Elite 8 Wicket today and the boys played well. We are 2 Points ahead of New Zealand on the Ladder and 8 Points ahead of Pakistan. One more win guarantees us the in Grand final which i think will be with New Zealand.

MAN OF THE MATCH: VERY CLOSE BETWEEN 4 Players
1. Ricky Ponting 136 and 1-1 off 0.3 Overs
2. Brad Hogg 3-9 off 4 Overs
3. Brett Lee 48 and 0-12 off 4 Overs
4. Andrew Symonds 3-27 4 Overs

The award for Man of the Match has gone to Ricky Ponting. A great innings of batting and Bowling by him.

u should try using my roster pack for updated rosters, Bichel and Lehmann are long gone... I'm not trying 2 promote my roster pack but really it needs to be updated.

Hayden, Lehman and Andy Bichel Out of ONE DAY Squad!

Matthew Hayden, Darren Lehman and Andy Bichel are out of the One Day Squad for the ICC Elite 8. Hayden has been dumped for one day until he shows great form (but is still in test) Lehmann has recentlly retired and Bichel is dumped. He has done a few expensive matches.

Selector Trevor Hohns (Who did this before he stepped down) had this to say

Trevor Hohns said:
We have chosen to demote a couple and one retired. Lehman has retired from international cricket but will stay playign for the redbacks. Hayden is out of one day form hasnt made much and Bichel has been flogged in some matches. He also recently got injured but is permanatnly out of International One Day Cricket.

Australia Win Toss and Batting First

Australia have won the toss and elected to bat first. ITs a HARD pitch at the MCG.

Katich Shows he deserves to open

katich might have just gone out but the quick start and partnership he had with Adam Gilchirst shows he deserves Batting at No 2. Hes been batting at 6 all series but the squad change has put him up to number 2

Katich fell for 34 (21)

AUS: 1-72
OVER: 5

SYMONDS 50

Andrew Symonds has kept the runs ticking over at the MCG. He has made his fifty and it is a great innings. Australia are 5-220 with a few overs to spare. Can Symonds get the hundred?
