Any Improvements?

I'm wondering about whatever happened to the post reports status function. It doesn't seem to update when I report offensive posts, or even when the issues are solved. On that same note, I'm also starting to doubt exactly how effective the post report system is ? especially after I report 3 or 4 posts from the same thread, and the result is absolutely non-existent after day(s) have passed; and of course, the spamming merrily goes on.
All should now be well with this, if you don't receive an update there from now onwards let me know, but it works for me.

Improvement ideas:

Treat the forum members like adults.

Ta guys.

I just fail to see the big deal of a thread discussing something slightly different from the title. It's not as if I'm trying to take it down a completely different route, I don't see how it causes damage to be honest. We're not kids who need to be told what we're allowed to talk about. Just seems a bit dictatorship like to me.

Freedom of speech is a right, after all.

You mean even the 26,000 or so sub-forums don't bother you, even just a little bit?

Not including the old cricket games part (because that is dead and for download purposes) there are only 29 sub-forums. Not 26,000, which I must say I would have noticed and probably would have an issue with it.

They're just the sub forums of the main page. Most if not all of those have further subforums. I bet it's close to 100, which is a bit much in my opinion.

It's pretty simple really. If a thread says it's about a then it should be about a. It gets very confusing for new users and hard to navigate if every thread title bears no relation to thread content or if they have to wade through pages of irrelavant posts to find that the thread is actually about.
We don't say don't discuss something, we just say discuss it in a new thread. I agree that mods shouldn't have to tell you what you can talk about. It should be painfully obvious from the thread title what you should be talking about. It's about where not what, an important point you seem determined to ignore.

I fail to see how its hard to open a new thread, where a thread that is going off-topic can be moved into its own thread, and correctly talked about and discussed. It really isn't hard to say something like,

"guys, we're a bit off-topic, could we move this to;

*Link to the thread you've created*"

I'm sorry, but that isn't hard. I've been here since the tail end of '05, and I'm the laziest son of a bitch you'll ever meet, but that isn't that hard to do.
