It's not suspect, it's just slingy. From what I saw there was no great straightening of the arm, possibly a hint of hyper extension, but Akhtar uses Hyperextension, so that's not an issue. Looked very Malinga-esque I thought, and Malinga definitely doesn't chuck.

Hyper-extension is definitely not an issue, I'm just seeing if that causes the illusion of a suspect action.

He's using a slingy action from above his head, while of course Malinga is side on. I don't see if thats easily accomplished without hyper extension.

Just checked the video of his yorker on Youtube, and there does appear to be considerable hyper-extension, although video footage isn't always conclusive, as Murali proves, his arm actually remains in it's normal position and his action is just an optical illusion. I'll try and get my Photoshop working an post a screenshot of Kamran Khan's hyper-extension.

Then it is an illusion, but it needs to be checked out so we have it in writing that his action is clean so it cannot be brought up later when / if Rajasthan are about to win, and they pull him out of the competition to test him (I can easily see Lalit Modi doing this)

Probably because no-one had heard of him until recently, he was spotted playing Tape Ball cricket, so wouldn't have ever been picked for the India U19's squad. He'd have done Ontong 9 times out of 10 with that delivery as well, was a corker. He'd have done for alot of class players with that ball, was a really quick, swinging yorker. Made both Manee and me leap up as it took out middle stump, was a jaffer.

and you should never believe any coach specially when he is from India or a Indian they alway will say good about their player because they have a great habit of making something out of nothing.
