Tour Match Northern Districts vs Australia

Pitch:Green
Weather: Sunny, Fine

MS:Hello Everybody and welcome to Auckland for this opening tour match between Northern Districts and Australia. I'm Michael Slater and what a glorious green pitch we have in front of us. We will see alot of runs being scored today but i think the pitch will slow up later on in the day.

I'm here with the two Captains. Ricky it'll be your call.

RP: Heads

MS:Heads is the call. and it is heads. Ricky what will you do

RP: We'll have a bat. Pitch looks relatively good.

MS: You've opted for more batsmen for this match. Why So?

RP: Well MAinly because we want to show a strong batting line and some of our batsmen are flexible so they can bowl as well.

MS:Good Luck today Ricky and thanks for talking to us. i would've liked to have a chat with the opposing captain but it appears he has gone to the dressing rooms. over to MArk Nicholas in the commentary box

MN:Thank you Michael. the news is that Australia have won the toss and will bat first. it's a glorious day. the players are coming onto the field to start play

Poor Start For Aussies, Dream Start For Hosts

After what was a brilliant one day series against india australia seem to have forgotten about their success around the world. Gilchrist on strike to face first ball plays it to mid off then calls for a run. but decides no run is there and Hayden with nowhere to go couldnt slide the bat in the crease. Ponting comes in with a big ask and looks to settle himself in first. Gilly takes a single to put himself on strike for the next over by Tufton. 1st ball of the over gilly is clean bowled. this much anticipated tour off to a disgraceful start there is only hope that Ponting and the Debutant Brendan Gutteridge can steer the ship in the right direction.

Gilly clean bowled for 1

not a good start from the Aussies, Hayden and Gilly gone cheaply, hopefully Punter can put them back on track. Good start mate

note i am playing as Brendan Gutteridge as it is my real name

Debutant In Early after only 4 Balls Bowledand Score at 2 for 2

Debutant Brendan Gutteridge walks out in the Australian Kit for the first time with the score at a disappointing 2 for 2 in this tour match between Australia and the Northern Districts. The nerves will be Kicking in i'll bet. its always scary coming in for the first time alot of people will tell you. But he has to get his head down and get stuck in if Australia are going to have any chance of winning.

After five overs the aussies have started to settle at 2/20 with ponting taking some charge in this little session. he is currently on 11 and Gutteridge is doing well on 6 as he has gotten over the first hurlde getting a run in international cricket. There is still a long way to go in this match

oh dear australia come on gutteridge good story keep up pictures..
check speeling andc keep to size '3' writing
KUTGW

Unlucky at being 2/2 Hopefully Gutteride can stabilize the innings

Partnership Builds
After what has been a dominant first 5 overs by the Northern Districts, Australia has pegged it back in their favour. Ponting and Gutteridge both looking set as the score is creeping up to the 50 mark. You'd have to give some credit to the bowlers for keeping these two honest and tying down the runs.

After 10 overs Aus 2/40
Ponting 21
Gutteridge 16
