This was a huge target for the Oz. The openers (Shane Watson and Shaun Marsh making they way to the center). This was a good start with the with the bowl as the youngster Tim Southee pick's his wicket in the very first over. The captain Ponting makes his way out to the center. Oz were on to a trouble as they also lost the wicket of Watson either. The Oz pair doesn't look good. With that the inform player Michael Clarke make the way to the center. It was flowing boundary after the wickets of the openers. It was Pup and Punter who led Australia when they were on trouble. And with that the pair made up 50 runs stand for the third wicket. Ponting's 50 off 63 with 3 boundaries led Australia for 113 for 2 with the loss of the openers. Clarke was playing some sweet strokes through the cover with couple of back to back boundaries. The pair soon went for few huge strokes as Clarke make his 40th ODI fifty. It was great to see Captain and Vice captain to play together. Michael Clarke the depute smashed a six towards the mid-wicket. It was Ponting who either smashed fews sixes from Bond's over. Bond end's his second spell which is off 1 for 28 in 8 overs. He'd only left couple of over. The captain bowl's himself and they have few changes in the field (shot fine leg on the place and they have deep mid-wicket on the force). As he changed the field, Ponting the captain was hit to the deep mid wicket hand and he was caught in the ropes. The plan worked for Kiwis. They have other trick to go for Clarke either. It was Clarke vs the Bounce. Clarke was trouble with the bounce, and was force to play the strokes. Even though he managed to play it with timing and placement. Southee either was trying to dismiss Clarke with the bounce but now Clarke was faced 5 shot balls, But he got away from it. Australia are 3 for 173 in 27 overs and they steel request 183 to win from 23 over and the RR Rate is about 8 runs per over.
