If Bangladesh goes through to next round, it won't be an upset, but if they fail, then it will be and people will start bashing them. Just like how if they win against big teams nowadays it isn't considered as an upset, but if they lose to minnows it becomes a huge deal. Dilemma

See Mr. BD supporter, the problem is that you can't see the light , No Big Team (which consists more than half of the cricketing world) is AFRAID of BD. BD is a more than 'OKAY' team but to think that they can instil fear in someone would be sheer immaturity (fanboyism).

It is common practice for any big team not to appreciate their opponent (especially a weak one) after a defeat but to rather analyze themselves for 'WHAT WENT WRONG'. If you expect opponents to praise you after loosing to you, you are pretty mistaken.

I do understand that cricket does make Mini-Fanatics of all of us but, be really careful as to what you speak before BD stumbles & everybody comes back taking a dig at you.

So, what you mean to say Mr. Mogambo is even if Bangladesh or any 'weak' team for that matter play well on a given day and win, it is not their efforts but errors of the other team that made them win?

I agree that Bangladesh are capable of an upset, but none of the top teams 'fear' them and they certainly aren't contenders in this WC.

Why has this turned into a BD/User bashing thread? User had some valid points in his OP and I agree with them. The progress BD have made over the last 8 months is astonishing, are thee Dark Horse of this tournament.

It actually makes for exciting cricket, that a new team is slowly coming up with the ranks and adds to the competitive environment. BD are doing exactly what Pak/Ind did in the 70's/80's and SL did in the 90's/00's. They're slowly becoming a force to deal with.

Not there yet, obviously. But to ignore/discredit their achievement/effort is foolsih and border-line ignorant.
