batsmen out of shape - why do they run so slow

i think thats a con in Cricket 2002....
the batsmen run soooo sooo slow... it is a huge disadvantage especially in ODI matches ...the fielding stats (agility mostly) should play a role in how fast they run as batsmen....becuase I know..Rhodes doesn't run the same speed as Inzamam (sorry if I spelt it wrong).

And also...in relation to reality...I think fielders should beable to cover more ground...because if you have 4 men in the covers...it's not the same as on Cricket 2002...it's very easy to get the ball throught rather then in reality....it's #### near impossible ???

actually u can make the batsmen run quikly by continuously holding the run key.i think he takes a quick run..i never faced any prob. of such sort..what do u all say guys
