Best Difficulty level for Realistic Play.

one question->do we get the annoying select a bowler screen after every over or is it like EA cricket where once we select a pair of bowlers we can get the change bowler screen only when you want to change again?

It's every over. I don't find it that annoying personally though, although I wish the cursor would stay defaulted over the bowler currently in operation, rather than always starting on the bowler with the highest bowling rating at that time.

Yes, I find that annoying - it would be better if we could choose bowling partnerships. Wishlist? Or do you reckon it could make it into the patch? Or maybe P.C. can do something about it...

Zero chance of making it into a patch - I'm sure that they're going to look at fixing the bugs and that it's it.

PC are very limited in terms of what they can do to the game until somebody manges to crack the w32 format, if anybody can. Even then I can't imagine that it will be easy changing something like this.

I agree, I was just being overly optimistic.

As I said before, I reckon w32 sounds like:

to me.

Still, if they fix the bugs, we won't need to play with the w32. :)

Edit: By the way, does Warne still say it's 35 degree heat when the thermometer reads 15 degrees? :laugh

I am having the best results when I move the pointer around after initiating the run-up and then bringing the pointer in towards just outside off stump and then changing the delivery (not all the time, varying it). That way I get quite a few catch chances and a couple of play-ons and the runrate is reasonably paced. Spinners at the top order is a nightmare and even so-called good balls get hammered but even here the moving around of the marker before the final position is useful. It doesn't help when the bowling stamina falls away so quickly and doesn't appear to come back. This in the demo by the way. Is this still the same in the "real" version?

In my demo the stamina stays the same all the time

Gas: Are you THAT scared of Australia that you only gave us 3 bowlers?

Lol, that was to make them bat better.

The problem is this, i am bowling perfect deliveries, in the perfect areas over and over again. Yet there have only been two chances the whole game so far.

I'm starting to regret picking symonds.

Here's where I'm at currently, run rate is about 3 an over.

Hard Game!

Alot of you are complaining about how the AI sucks and how easy this game is.. Well I currently suck at it and I've had enough!

I was pretty good at Lara 2005/7, I rocked at the arcade fest that was EA Cricket 07 (even with patches) but I am finding 09 quite tough.

I was playing as SA against Zimbabwe on a 10 over ODI and they elected to bat first, so I get in there and by the time 10 overs are done, they whacked a great 115 runs with 4 wickets (so yeah my bowling isn't that bad..)

I get in to bat, attempt to do a back/front foot combos with loft and attack and I am all out for like 20!

Any tips for us suckers? Yes I did the tutorial and all Warne did was give me tips on how to flirt with young nurses behind the wife's back.

What difficulty level are you on?

Try to build your innings. Play along the floor until you've got your eye in. There are fielding restrictions so the boundary is still there to be hit.

I'm not very good either but I'm getting better with each match I play scoring more runs and taking more wickets. Since it's fun I don't mind not winning at first and whenever I've taken a wicket or hit a boundary shot there's a real sense of satisfaction. After all I'm sure the hot shot players weren't always hot shots.:)
